It has been announced that Brainiac with finally be making his big screen debut in Man of Tomorrow. Decades overdue, I'd say! I can't wait to see what design they go with for the villain, as there have been so many different incarnations.
This cover required quite a bit of de-cluttering before I could add Alpha Flight in. Here's a look at the behind the scenes progress:

Everybody chose to forget that in Superman III (yeah, the one with Richard Pryor) the main villain was Brainiac. Atari Brainiac, but still Brainiac. ;-) https://i0.wp.com/www.kindertrauma.com/wp-content/uploads/cyberveratop.jpg?ssl=1
Always loved Alpha Flight. Glad to see them here facing off against Brainiac. Nice job.
Isn’t that OTTAWA?
More like a poor man's version of Computo the Conqueror.
Yes, that is the correct spelling for Canada's national capital. But, then again, I still have an encyclopedia featuring a map that says "Gulf of Mexico."
I totally agree. The first time I ever heard of Brainiac was on the debut episode of "The New Adventures of Superman" from Filmation back in 1966! At which time, of course, he was merely one of a series of robots created by an extra-terrestrial scientist on the planet Riga. With a shrink ray that wasn't that difficult to operate. Just aim, shoot, and wait for the multi-colored particles to dissipate (before putting the shrunken subject under glass)!
Aurora's similarity to Halo, on Thursday's cover, makes me wonder if Alpha Flight's next team-up could be with Batman and the Outsiders.
I know it's not going to happen but I'd love it if they used the skull headed robot from the early eighties version of Brainiac. Especially if he did that ridiculous Superpowers kick in a scene.
They could use multiple versions of Brainiac. I think Geoff Johns had a story with all versions being drones to the green skin version. He did the same with Toyman.
Ottawa? This is also in the Great Lakes Avengers backyard. If they're still around that is.
Sorry that I haven't commented in a while; but LOVE this one! And if I'm not mistaken; isn't that original scan from the storyline where Superman was bouncing around different realities that mirrored different eras of his comics? (In this case; the Silver Age)
Ha, I knew where that shot of Brainiac was from a soon as I saw it! I loved that issue as a kid, where all of Metropolis got superpowers, but it turned out to be from Mr. Mxyzptlk, which later turned out to be a hallucination induced by Dominus! Crazy story arc!
"Bottling Ottawa" sounds like a rival of Molson Beer!
just think what a great dentist Brainiac could have been!!
I remember when Dominus was just an alter-ego of Lex Luthor dressed like an Imperial Guardsmen (from the Dark Horse era of STAR WARS LEGENDS).
Superman (as Clark Kent): "Is that kryptonite, doctor?"
Brainiac (as Dr. Marsters, DDS): "No, just fluorescent fluoride!"
Say, here's a thought: Pit the Silver Age Brainiac against Kang the Conqueror. Title: "Time in a Bottle"!
Good one!!!! :-)
I'd love to see the metallic Brainiac go up against some of Sigourney Weaver's xenomorphs!
