Mr. Terrific and Storm

I saw and quite enjoyed the new Superman movie.  I liked how it truly embraced its comic book roots, it felt like reading a Silver or Bronze age issue.  I wasn't crazy about the major change to Superman's Kryptonian origin, though.  Mr. Terrific was definitely a standout.  Edi Gathegi's performance was great and his actions scenes were a blast to watch.  Definite spinoff material there!

He's not a mutant sentinel shouldn't attack him

Also, his one innate power is invisibility to machines: even Brother Eye couldn't detect him, so I'd be EXTREMELY surprised if a Sentinel could do so...

@Ross: I echo your sentiments regarding the needless retro-vilification of Superman's bio-parents. That, along with several other, more minor disappointments, made me feel obligated to give it no higher than five out of ten stars. Almost making me wish I could imitate Edi Gathegi's ability to NOT feel emotions!

@Anon623: well, then, maybe it's a mutant sentinel (a la Neo-Sentinel Number Two from Avengers v.1/#104).

Then, on second thought, maybe it's Tanya "Madame Sanctity" Trask! The Askani-raised mutant daughter of Dr. Bolivar Trask. She can teleport through time; generate super-realistic illusions (a la Mastermind) so as to resemble anybody else; and telepathically sense other mutants.*

*And Michael Holt's ability to be literally undetectable by any kind of (presumably even Cerebro) would definitely qualify as a mutant power in the mainstream Marvel multiverse.

P.S.---did I also mention she can telepathically induce amnesia? Why else would I forget to write "...any kind of machine..."?

There's a fan theory floating around that the adult Madame Sanctity is actually a clone of Tanya Trask. Similar to Stryfe being a clone of Cable!

Maybe that file was deliberately altered by Brainiac.

I looked at the Superman movie as being on a parallel Earth. Gunn knows the multi-verse he could use it with no problem. Also the animated My Adventures with Superman has a similar storyline and direct use of the multi-verse. An extra "bonus".
Storm might appreciate Terrific over time. His integrity.

I know I've asked for this before, but it did come up in a conversation tonight:

Gomer Pyle becomes (the original) Captain Marvel.

Before or after Krypton's destruction?

So, there's a chance Galactus and the Silver Surfette were responsible for Krypton's destruction?

While sharing a banana "Split!" with his girlfriend?

Brainiac is AI. He’s probably embedded in the file.

So, probably after the destruction. Which he probably avoided (a la the 1996 WB animated series pilot) by uploading his entire cybernetic essence into the flight computer of Kal-El's spaceship!

Wrong Capt. Marvel (insert eye roll emoji, here).
