Katana and Valkyrie

Katana is better at wielding a sword, but Valkyrie has Asgardian strength to back her up.  This would be an interesting match up.  But just why would Brunnhilde want The Soultaker in the first place?

A more pertinent question would be: "How does Val expect to win Soutaker away from Katana if she still bears the Enchantress' Curse of Pain (which flairs up every time she fights another woman)?"

Strength versus skill. A bit like the classic fight between Val and the Swordsman during the Avengers/Defenders War back in the early '70s.

The Why: to imprison someone she really feels negative about. The how: like Bruce she has been training herself to work with the pain and use it to further motivate herself. Take nothing for granted.

Yes.
(Hr'rmm, I wonder whether those two were both named after a mutual ancestor?)

Seems to be Soultaker would be the very weapon any typical Asgardian would want to have, let alone a Valkyrie whose very job entailed taking the souls of the dead to the Afterlife.

I bet it would fail to work on Hela. ;-)

@Carycomic: That's "sword" of a given. Don't you think?
