It looks like STF's arch-villain Mr. Universe is back for his 6th appearance - and this time he's gone after a couple of heavy hitters! Mar-Vell first met Firestorm in STF #2747...
There was a lot of tweaking required with this cover - Here's a look at the behind the scenes progress:

Another superb cover. Nice!
Two very colorful uniforms - maybe these guys are about to do a costume swap to confuse Mr U.
And...Tantrum. What a great name for a super-villain.
Especially if he was the _son_ of Mr. Universe!
Think about it. In DEFENDERS v.1/#92 (1981), Eternity revealed how he had decided to learn more about Earthling humanity by splintering off portions of "himself" into separate mortal forms. So, if Mr. Universe is the moral inversion of Eternity (from, say, the DCU of Silver Age Earth-3), then Tantrum could be his spoiled evil brat! *
*Imagine Klarion the Witch Boy wearing the Mask of Loki.
@Anon - great notion. Tantrum as Mr U's villainous sidekick
Or, even better, Kid Eternity's cousin!
See STF #3417 for further details.
Hm... What if one of the Guardians of the Universe became Captain Universe to battle Mr. Universe?
Irony? Galactus becomes Captain Universe to battle Mr Universe?
Or, better yet, Spongebob Squarepants becomes Galactus!
What if Rick Jones and Ronnie Raymond were to swap roles, so Ronnie switched with Captain Marvel and Rick merged with Professor Stein ...?
didn't DC have a Captain Storm in the Navy years ago??
Yes, they did. A WWII PT boat commander whose Nick Furious eye patch was a symbol of his seemingly being jinxed. So, he wound up on a special commando team made up of other seemingly jinxed military men. Code-name: The Losers! P.S.---the others were Gunner and Sarge (USMC raiders with a scout dog named Pooch) and Lt. Johnny Cloud (a full-blooded Navajo fighter pilot with the USAAF).
