Robin Vs. Kang in: "Batting 1,000!"

Looks like Kang's experiment with Batman from STF #2390 got a little out of hand, and now it's up to the Boy Wonder to make sense of things.  I can't wait to see what shenanigans Kang gets into when he next appears in the MCU.  From the end of the Loki series, it seems that he's already gotten started.

Kang battled the greatest Robin of all in STF #1744...

I have this poster, Love it!! Ross, your storyline reflects exactly what "Convergence" was about. This also reminds me in "Zero Hour" of when some of the Bruce Waynes met and treated each other with 'mild scorn'.

Ross, this is your best "crowd scene" ever. Well done.

Sweet! Reminds me of the "Batman: the Brave and the Bold" episodes featuring the Batmen of the Multiverse.

Yes, indeed, he did. And it looks like this Kang counterpart was so p---ed off by that defeat that he's trying to keep the pre-Crisis Earth 2 Robin from ever growing up!

Of course, in the absence of He Who Remains, we'll likely see Kang running the show in Loki Season 2, and an entirely different Kang in Ant-Man & the Wasp: Quantumania. We may also see yet another Kang at least doing a cameo in Spider-Man: No Way Home and/or Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness.

As for this cover, it's a great continuation of an old story, and a brilliant use of the images.

I think it might be interesting, in this blog, to see Kang recruit a hero (or group of them) with time travel as an ability, but not the defining ability, in an effort to protect his time-line of origin. Outside the Marvel Universe, the only one I can think of offhand is the Flash, though I'm sure others more knowledgeable than I am can suggest at least a couple of others.

And how about some appearances of Nathaniel Richards in some of his other personas? Immortus could consult with the Monitor, Iron Lad could team up with Blue Beetle III*, or Rama-Tut could have a run-in with one of the Stargate System Lords.

*In the STFU, Jaime seems to have taken on the same role as the MCU's Peter Parker in his relationship with Iron Man, and Jaime spent part of his career as Iron Beetle while Tony went missing. Since the Iron Lad version of Nate seems to have some connection to Tony as well, it seems that the two working together on the problem would be logical.

Who has odds he chooses the red costume original concept Batman that's just off-panel?

Are you sure that's not the standard black-blue-and-gray outfit? And that it's not merely soaking wet from being out in the "Red Rain?"

@Shadow Wing Tonix: are you referring to the Batman of "Zur-N-R?"

ShadowWing Tronix said...

@Cary comic No, I'm referring to the supposed costume Bob Kane originally designed until Bill Finger dropped it for the more iconic look we know today.

Carycomic said...

Oh, yeah! I found it...and I agree.

As loyal as I am to Mr. Kane's memory, I cannot honestly blame Bill for giving the "Finger" to that look.

When are you going to start selling T-Shirt!?!

As soon as someone can figure out how to do it legally! Tough when I use existing art of licensed characters!

How about one of those pop-up ads that precede every video posted on Youtube? Every websurfer on the planet has to watch one of them for at least five seconds before they can skip ahead to what they truly wanna watch.

@Anonymous: *Shrugs* They have to support themselves, somehow. Same as everybody else these days.
