Batman would be able to make quick work of any normal bear. I just don't think that that's any normal bear.
I agree that Dwayne Johnson would be an outstanding Clark Savage. It probably just hasn't occurred to him.
As I am forever tired of explaining, Dwayne Johnston would NOT be a good choice to play Doc Savage. While Doc is often depicted as big and bulky in the various comic book depictions of his exploits, the original pulp novels described him as being "so well proportioned that his large size is not apparent until he is standing next to another person or some other object with which his size can be compared." That description obviously can not be applied to Johnson. (Plus they'd have to digitally remove all of Johnson's tattoos, which would almost certainly strain the movie budget.)
Johnny, Johnny, Johnny! You gotta tell us how you truly feel, or those pent-up feelings are gonna give you ulcers!

Christopher Reeve was an unknown when he was cast as Superman, they should do the same with Doc Savage. Just screen test a bunch of people as see what works.
Did Marvel or DC's legal department say something about these team ups?
Is that why there is a huge disclaimer added to the covers?
It's there to provide credit when people ignore the provided share links and choose to cut and paste my covers to other pages and blogs, which has gotten out of control lately. I should have added it years ago.

Why do you say that Doc Savage has no big-screen appearances? He's had a movie.

Many feel Johnson could never play a highly intelligent character convincingly. With him in the role, fans fear the remake will be just as campy as the 1975 film."

@Ross, Anon, and D. Tobor: The Ron Ely version of Doc Savage was a feature film. But, it was a box-office flop. And, as a result, its TV debut on NBC (during the late Seventies) probably gave it more viewers from home than ever saw it theaters.
The special effects had even been done by George Pal (who only did them for the silver screen)!
So basically this new, highly distracting promo disclaimer is there because people merely sharing your mash-up fan "art" is considered "taking credit for it"? (Which is not true at all.)
I mean, the name of the blog is already plastered on it twice.
And instead of getting all bent out of shape and angry about it, you should be flattered.
On top of the fact that every time one of your covers is shared its promo because the name of the blog is plastered all over it.
Maybe just relax and be thankful that comic book fans enjoy it.
Anybody who creates original images on the internet can tell you, once you make it and post it be at peace with it being shared everywhere.
And please do not take this comment as hostile (I think you do a great job on these), its just that this new disclaimer takes A LOT away from the covers.
Sharing is fine and encouraged, that's why I include the share link buttons.The problem is that many will go out of their way to cut and paste the covers to other blogs or sites with no credit or link to this blog. Even that isn't a huge deal, but many will do that on a daily basis, effectively poaching all of my content. I work way too hard on this blog for that, and it's been happening more and more lately.
Re: the Doc Savage movie with Ron Ely: It was a feature film originally, but Ross did specify that Doc "has not regularly appeared on the big screen" (emphasis mine). So, one movie does not constitute "regularly."
Re: the disclaimer: I still hold that it would be more effective and less distracting to just put the blog's URL between "Super-Team Family" and "presents...". Better still, insert the slogan in that spot ("The Greatest Team-Ups That Never Happened... But Should Have!"), and put the URL in some other spot, like the bottom left corner.
Doing the impossible is what makes you fun. Sometimes people steal credit from others because they have nothing else in their life to boast about. Sad but true. Found out it happened to me. Anger then pity but no respect towards the thieves.

There was a report about a TV Series for Doc Savage, which it works better, by SONY. With TV series you can do many different stories based on novels.

@Cary: I saw the '75 movie about 10 years later on video, and to paraphrase Bear Waters (the lead character in my own novels), it's an experience that I'm glad I had, but hope to never duplicate in my entire life.
as someone who also creates their own art, I highly support you adding the URL and marketing your work however you want. I 'would' encourage, however, some way of including that on the cover art (like, as someone suggested, on the Super Team Family logo block) because if someone is going to steal your art, and claim it as their own (or just not attribute), they could easily snip off that bottom section. if it's embedded someway in the art itself, it becomes a little more of a pain to cover it up. What about incorporating it in to the UPC code box somehow? BTW I LOVE your site and your work is flawless! Regarding the Bondsmen, what about a team up with the Kingsmen ... either the movie OR characters with "King" in their title like Chemical King? King Shark, Disney's King Midas cartoon ("the golden touch" 1935), Kingpin, King Cobra.... ;)
