Mademoiselle Marie and The Invaders

Are fishnets and a mini skirt appropriate battle wear?  Maybe not, but Marie is an effective agent nonetheless. It would be cool to see her on a mission with The Invaders.

Lol! Can she help if she's at least 20 years ahead of her time, both sartorially and verbally?*

*The slang prhase "suss out" didn't evolve till the 1960's. But, then, again, she could've gone time-tripping alongside Sgt. Rock and Jonah Hex (among others). Which, on Earth-STF, makes perfect sense.

Or, she could be thinking in French, and it's being translated for us into current English.

The phrase "suss out" (meaning to investigate or figure out) originates from mid-20th-century British slang. "Suss" is a shortened form of "suspect". It emerged as police and criminal jargon in the 1950s before evolving into everyday language. Here is how the term developed:1920s-1950s: Used by UK police as a verb meaning "to suspect" someone of a crime.1960s: First recorded usage of the phrase "suss out" in print (in a 1966 Queen article), referring to figuring things out or investigating a situation.Modern Usage: Popularized globally, it also spawned the modern slang term "sus" (short for suspicious). You can read more about the historical citations and linguistic roots in the Etymonline Entry for Suss or check out the historical context on the Oxford English Dictionary.

Cool idea and excellent execution. This reminded me of another WWII era team-up that I recently thought about--any of the DC WWII military characters such as Sgt. Rock, Unknown Soldier or (especially) the Haunted Tank teamed up with Steve Rogers as the Hydra Stomper! Keep up the awesome work . . . .

@Anon1141: that's exactly where I got my info in the first place. I just condensed it for the sake of everybody's convenience.

Or maybe a photo-image cover with Roy Thinnes teaming up with Reb Brown (as Capt. America), Patrick Duffy (as the Submariner) and Chris Evans (as the Human Torch) in...

"The Invaders vs. The Invaders!"

If nothing else, you could make it a prequel to STF #2118 @ 1/30/2018.

They're either Kraalian Skrull mercenaries working for the Axis Powers...or early Life-Model Decoys built by Baron Zemo (based on Phineas Horton's work).

@Ross: I believe hers is the type of ensemble that was usually worn by the female partners in apache (pronounced "ah-posh") dance duos.

I'd rather see "Mars Attack-ack-acks The Invaders."
