Batman and The Angel in: "The Dark Knight Takes Flight!"

I'd like to have seen a story that explained how Batman went from swinging around to gliding with a cape that can go rigid.  Who's to say Warren Worthington didn't lend a hand?

Batman last appeared with The Angel alongside Colossus in STF #3030, and first appeared with him in a B&B: The Lost Issues cover from 2011...

The Wayne Enterprises - Worthington Industries merger will shake the very foundation of *two* comic book universes!

Well, in the feature films, the membranous glider-cape dates back to Michael Keaton's 1989 debut as Batman. In real life, the first (albeit ill-fated) attempt at a glider-suit was made in Paris @ 1912. It wasn't until eighty-seven years later (Bat-Mike plus ten) that something called the "ram-air" suit was developed that allowed for gliding similar to the North American "flying" squirrel.

Hence, the more common nickname of "squirrel suits".

As for which super-villains might bring these two, together, for a probably not-so-charming third time? How about the two Vultures (Adrian Toomes and his namesake from the Terrible Trio)? For Bob Greenwade's love of synchronicity, if nothing else.

In this case, I think Batman is speaking hyperbole; of course he'll need the Bat-Rope in the future. The Capewing is a gliding instrument, meaning it's mainly useful for going down; going up will still need the rope. Preferably with a surprise celebrity poking their head out the window halfway up.

And speaking of that, it was quite a thing during the Batman TV series to give celebs those cameos. How about giving one to Stan Lee? "The Man" got cameos in just about everything else.

PS: Unsurprisingly, I support Cary's "Vulture to Vulture" proposal.

Bob is on target!! Plus he has to travel to get back to the car if he can't get it on autodrive. 2 billionaires just hanging around fighting crime and bigotry!

Ross probably has that one ready-and-waiting in the wings.

Hey would you do a cover of various pulp heroes, green hornet, spirit, the shadow, and the phantom teaming up?

I'd vote in favor of it. I mean, if Moonstone Books and Dynamite Entertainment can do it...
