This would definitely be an interesting battle. Thor would have a tough go of it, but maybe the fact that Doomsday is certainly not worthy to hold Mjolnir might give him an opportunity to prevail.

I think Doomsday's in with a real chance. Today is just not the Asgardian's favourite day of the week - and so he's ever so slightly underpowered. Your fault Ross. If you'd posted this yesterday - on Thorsday!
On the other hand, this could very well prep the way for a sequel: Doomsday vs. Mangog!
I have to echo Davejonz' concerns. I mean, it's pretty clear that Doomsday made scrap metal out of the Asgardian Destroyer armor (back @ STF #4610). Something even Thor, himself, was never able to do! So, it's time to send in reinforcements. Either Mangog (mind-controlled by the Puppet Master) or the Parasite (occupied by Deadman).
48 hours(and counting) to STF #5000!
What Dave and Cary have to say is quite valid, but Thor's quite capable of pulling some clever tricks.
On the other hand, perhaps everyone's favorite flerken could make short work of even Doomsday.
Only if it had a tenth life!
"Flerken"?
Anyway, as someone else pointed out, there's just one issue left between us and #5000!
@Daviticus In case you still don't know, the flerken was the alien cat in the Captain Marvel movie.
@Daviticus: think Streaky the Supercat...with Scooby Doo's appetite.
Doomsday and not Mangog. After all these years still not one issue with Mangog.
@my namesake: maybe Ross will make that his New Year's resolution.
Failing that, I'll settle for Thanos vs. Doomsday!
Thor is powerful magic. Doomsday might have a problem with coming back from that.
How about Blok from the Legion going up against Guido (Strong Guy) from X-Factor at some point??
I used to say the same thing about Bucky Barnes having a (non-What If) life after World War II.
Or, failing that, how about Doomsday vs. Task Force T?*
*Braided top-knot vs. mohawks!
