Something tells me that if there were to be a crisis in the Marvel Multiverse, it would star with the Squadron Supreme's Earth. It would be interesting to see if they would have fared any better against the Anti-Monitor's forces than DC's Crime Syndicate did.

My favorite Anti-Monitor depiction, here, is still STF #1845. But, this comes close to rivaling it!

Ross, your suspicion is almost correct. It started with the Ultraverse, but the Squadron (and Hyperion in particular) were central to the defeat of the Anti-Monitor—or, rather, of Dr. Doom empowered by the Negative Zone.
