What's more unknown to The Challs than what lies beyond solar system? I think it might be fun to read a tale where they are truly thrust out of their element.

You raise a fair point, Ross. In all the Chall reprints I read as a kid, every space monster they ever fought was visiting Earth. I don't think they ever once returned the favor! And, in that regard, their Marvel counterparts (who shall remain nameless...but their initials are FF) are one up on them.
What a great pic of Silver Surfer. Anyway you could use that same pic with the Teen Titans or JSA team shot. Very cool cover today!!
What both Anons said. The late, great Mr. Kirby truly was the King of Comic Book Illustrators.
A very nice cover... but if you really want to drop the Challengers into an unfamiliar environment, let Doctor Strange bring them into a weird magical realm!
Space shuttle Challenger reminds us of how dangerous space travel really can be. Time. Multi universes. The Surfer could lead to the stars in time or a different universe. Surfer can get involved anywhere and take passengers, i not friends. New Unknowns.
Jack & John made real legends of themselves. But since you can't judge a book by its cover, that's one book i definitely want to start reading. Be interesting to see how Norin interacts with the guys on a personal level.

"Your greatest challenge awaits you..."
Oh dear. Surely Norrin doesn't expect the FF (the First Four) to go up against his old boss, Galactus?
That's definitely a Radd suggestion.
For a wilder team up cover, put Silver Surfer on his board in some caverns with Cave Carson & the Cave Crew as his allies. They could be looking for the Mole Man & Earthworm (the 80s Huntress foe).
