One of the first major missteps from Marvel for me took place in Thor: Ragnarok. While I liked the movie and loved Cate Blanchett as Hela, seeing them almost instantly slaughtered by her did not sit well with me. They are great characters in the comics and they deserved better. Bob Greenwade, regular commenter and Patron of this Blog, suggested that I pit them up against The Demons Three and I have to admit, that would make for a fun tale. Thanks, Bob!

Since Asgard deals with Magic as much as Midgard, that tale as many, many possibilities in the ways things could happen. YOU PICK THE ADVENTURE would be perfect with this idea. Great Ross!
Tobor's right. One such adventure idea would be the Warriors Three looking for the mystic entities each of those talismans was named for, in the hopes that they are the same Timeless Ones who sealed away the Demons Three in the first place.
A Cary-baked cookie for Bob Greenwade if he can remember the tongue-twisting names of those seemingly benevolent entities.
Marvel have never properly used these characters since Jack Kirby left,
they were among my favourite cast members, after Willie Lumpkin and Lady Dorma…
this would be a Fun three parter .
Nice cover; but how about having either of these trios meeting the Three Stooges? Could be worth the laugh...
@Jared Mello: in what format, though? Using photo-captures of both from their respective movie appearances? Or John Buscema's W-3 meeting the Gold Key version of the Stooges?
That really disappointed me too. At least Sif avoided that fate.
@Anon140: I think a photo cover would be the best option; only real question s: Original Stooges or the version from the 2012 film?
Nice! And of course "The Warriors Three vs. the Demons Three" has such a fun ring to it.
I, too, was disappointed at how quickly the Warriors Three were disposed of, but at least we got to see the Warriors Three in full glory in the previous two films. And in both The Dark World and Ragnarok Zachary Levi is unrecognizable as Fandral.
But we did get to see Karl Urban as Skurge the Executioner, with what I consider to be one of the greatest redemption moments in cinematic history.
@Cary: I like your proposed plot, though unfortunately I have to forego that cookie.
Just came up with a title for The Warriors Three Meet the Three Stooges:
"Oh, What Fools These Mortals Be!"
You should throw in the Terrible Trio in their next meeting!
@Dr. OTR: or, failing them, the Ghostly Trio!!
@Bob Greenwade: Uthool, Calythos, and Nyorlath.
@Jared and Anon140: I'd prefer the original Three Stooges, myself. Either from the Depression-era Columbia shorts or the post-WWII feature films that culminated with a Western spoof that co-starred a pre-Batman Adam West!
P.S. @ Jared: Love that title! :-)
The killing off of the Warrior Three was my least favorite part of Thor movies and affected
me seeing future Thor movies. Volstagg did get some time as War Thor showing his warrior heart.
Maybe the next Thor sequel will feature them fighting alongside Jane Foster in Valhalla. Because, remember, that was what the Norsemen considered heaven. Fighting all day and feasting all night!
Those who died from relatively more peaceful causes went to gloomy, fog-shrouded Niffleheim.
