A Blue Beetle/Booster Gold buddy movie was one of the many ideas floated by Warner Bros in the last decade that never seemed to go anywhere. Now that there's new leadership for DCU films and given James Gunn's fondness for everyman type heroes, maybe there's a chance that this one could get back on track.
Cap last appeared with Ted Kord under a mountain in STF #1741 and they two first met way back in STF #234. Cap met Blue Beetle Dan Garrett in STF #1078...

Actually, i would have enjoyed Ted working with Ralph and Sue. That pairing would be a much more positive feel to it.
Ted and Steve are ok, but not really special. Both 'straight ahead and old time self sacrificing', but they don't seem to 'vibe' off each other. No real bond. But this cover works best because of all those reasons.
Nice cover!
I first "met" Ted Kord during Crisis on Infinite Earths. What a cool character!
I'm wondering if DC/Warner Bros. will figure things out in our lifetime...
I'm wondering why such a brilliantly action-packed depiction wasn't posted for Veterans' Day?
Actually, that's a good question!
Well, I make the covers a bit ahead of when they are posted, so I'm never quite sure what day they will land on. I plan themed covers for Halloween and Christmas, but that's about it - usually it's luck of the draw.
I was trying to come up with a good combination for Thanksgiving, and while I failed to think of anything for that, I did consider Forge and Steel. Those two did meet way back in #702, but perhaps a re-teaming is in order. Or perhaps Forge can work with Cyborg!
@Bob: how about if he gets amalgamated, by Axel Asher, with Azrael the Bat-Knight in... "Jean-Paul Valley Forge!"
Insert two face-palm emoji's here! :-(

I can't. Croc and the Rhino devoured them all!
