It's been a constant rumor that Namor would be introduced as an antagonist in the Black Panther sequel, focusing on relations between the advanced societies of Wakanda and Atlantis. With the tragic passing of Chadwick Boseman, nothing is certain as to how the story will move forward now. When you factor in the delays already caused by productions shutting down, it looks like it will probably be quite a bit longer before we see the Avenging Son make his live action debut.
Batman and The Sub-Mariner met a couple of times back in my Brave and the Bold: The Lost Issues days - once in 2010, and then again in 2011...

Wear capes underwater? Why? Pre tv show. 1950s seems the time for the art. But it is something enjoyable. Simple, but enjoyable.
I love Subby! I remember him as the first hero-villain I encountered. Up to then everyone had been easy to identify as good guys or baddies.
And I like the real retro feel of Batman and Robin here. Nice one.
But we need another faceoff between Subby and that other Atlantean royal, Aquaman!

Nice Golden Age adventure! Given that Batman has also been known to fight corrupt businessmen from the very beginning, including those who violate laws about disposal of toxic waste (such as Roland Daggett on the Animated Series), this looks like something that could actually happen in the 40s or 50s.
Actually, I think Namor would be perfect for the next movie. Have him kill T'Challa early in the movie then have the mantle of Black Panther pass to Shuri.
@Chris: From what I've just heard, that's pretty much what's expected to happen (though it may or may not be Namor who does the deed; it could be Doom).
@Chris and bob: that'd be only fitting. Seeing as how the Silver Age Black Panther debuted in "Fantastic Four."

I could totally see Batman and Namor sharing a mutual respect for each other. Namor would be less chatty than Bats' B&B buddy Aquaman (who seems more like Marvel's Hercules, minus the "thee, thy, thine" dialect).
