I'm still waiting for Adam Strange on Krypton to in some way resemble the Adam Strange from the comics. Hopefully it won't be one of those cases where on the final episode he puts on a jetpack and that's all we get. Krypton's Lobo didn't quite work for me, although he did have a few good moments. The voice seemed off and I would have preferred a physically larger actor in the role.
This is the third appearance of the Strange boys on the blog. They were last seen trying to escape from Limbo in STF #2146, and they were first revealed to be brothers in STF #370...

Hmmm! Yet another super-villain taking on the mantle (and fedora) of Death-stalker? I wonder who that might be?
I'll take a wild guess and stay Lonnie Machin (formerly known as "Anarky").
As to the tele-version of Adam Strange on KRYPTON not resembling his comic book counterpart? I'll bet the writers are afraid of giving him his Golden Age Starman-like suit a bit too early.
Was watching the 80s Buck Rogers TV show on Me-TV last weekend, and as Buck walked through a spaceport an announcement paged Adam Strange.
Maybe (actually no doubt) I'm weird, but I don't have a problem with the loyal-doofus-sidekick Adam from Krypton. They need the Zeta Beam as a plot device, Adam is just along from the ride. And he's better than the Adam over in Young Justice.
And I loved Lobo's almost Scottish accent, and the regeneration special effects were superb.
Great cover, Ross! I'd been about to suggest that the next time these two work together, it be to manage some sort of mystical threat on Rann, but that's what it looks like they're doing in #370. However, also in #370 there was a comment suggesting that Hugo Strange be part of the story; what if he's a third brother, and Adam and Stephen have to deal with him? (That story could even be a follow-up to this one, that being a part of the "final penance" spoken of here.)
Along the same lines, I think it's been a while since we've seen anything of the Danvers Twins. It's been less of a while since the Power Couple (Christmas, I think), but they happen to be my favorite recurring pairing on this blog.
And I'm also still hoping to see a consultation between Dr. Strange and Dr. Mid-Nite -- the only two actual M.D.s in their respective superhero communities, as far as I'm aware.
Adam was an archaeologist originally. Presumably he has a PhD, which would make him another Dr. Strange?
Hugo Strange, being older, might be better cast as their long-lost uncle. (And yet another Dr. Strange?)
Bob Greenwade: Wasn't Thor a physician in his secret identity, early on? And I think Mr. Terrific might hold a medical degree (in addition to who knows how many PhDs).
And then there was the second Dr Mid-Nite, and before him there was Dr Midnight, both of whom were real doctors with connections to the original...
Yes, and Captain Comet (Adam Blake) sought his cousin, Dr. Donald Blake here.
Hawkman was secretly archaeologist Dr. Carter Hall. I'd always assumed his doctorate was in archaeology, but thanks to the absorbiscon, who knows? He could also have a medical degree. Anyone know if this point was eve covered by DC?
They need to team up against Hugo Strange!
@Dr. OTR: I'd completely forgotten about Thor, as Donald Blake, being a physician. On the Wikipedia page for Mister Terrific II (Michael Holt), there's no mention of any Doctorate other than his 14 PhDs.
@Simreeve: I know about the subsequent Doctor Mid-Nite/Midnight; in fact, Pieter Cross would be my pick of which one to use. I'd also love to see Beth Chapel appearing here some time (ideally alongside Monica Rambeau).

this just in from the Muppets newsroom, Supergirl is growing up. And M.B. is going to show what she can do when she is in charge.
We now return you to this issue's story "Strange Adventure"
@Cary and Bob: Split the difference. Have Prof. Hugo Strange be the latest Death-Stalker impersonator. Heck! He once impersonated his own ghost!!
Shouldn't that be STRANGE ADVENTURE TALES (since there's no mystery in space) ?
Bob, the Wikipedia page also states "Along with teammate and friend Doctor Mid-Nite and Batman, Mister Terrific is one of the three main superheroes with medical training in the DC Universe. Although it is not known if he has an M.D., he did participate in the autopsy of Sue Dibny in Identity Crisis."
Also remember the MD is an American qualification. In some other countries, a medical doctor does not necessarily have a doctorate.
@Anonymous: Potato/tomato. Laying/lying.
Let's call the whole thing off. ;-)
I remember that Batman arc with Hugo Strange and Boss Thorne as really well written, contrasting with the awful Flash arc at the same time with its murdered Iris and criminal getting super strength and insanity as a result of a dodgy psychology experiment. Anyone else have views on this? Has that Batman arc ever been published in a collected edition?
Though originally an archaeologist, Kent Nelson (Dr. Fate) got his medical degree in More Fun Comics #85 in 1942. AFAIK, the last time he was actually shown working in a hospital was in World's Finest #208 in 1971.
