I like the generational aspect of DC comics and Infinity Inc. added to that when it introduced a whole new group of sons and daughters of the Justice Society of America to comics readers. Unfortunately, not much has been done with the characters since that series ended decades ago. They were apparently a casualty of The New 52, but now that we are past that era and into DC Rebirth, perhaps they can return. Maybe we have to wait for the original JSA to come back before their kids do.
My apologies for posting this one out of order. I lost my father on Wednesday and my mind was all over the place. I was glad that in the past decade movie nights at my parents' place became a regular thing, every six weeks or so. Dad really got a kick out of the Marvel Movies and always wanted to see the new Pixar releases. I was dazzled as a kid by brightly colored larger than life heroes but through his work ethic, moral code, love for his family and great sense of humor, my father was a real life superhero in front of me all along.

My condolences, lost my dad about 10 years ago and while not close I knew him as a military hero not appreciated, yet he kept going and provided for his family. Including giving me significant introduction to comics, with Brave and Bold with Flash (my favorite), early Tomb of Dracula, Sub-mariner, and Detective. Goal now is to show appreciation and encouragement to loved ones in my life today. Thank you again for the hard work and creativity you put into giving us these interesting team ups!
My condolences, Ross. Cliche as it might sound, a father is always a son's first hero. But, along comes that first action-adventure film or comic book or whatever; and the term "hero" gets redefined, in that son's eyes, as someone who can kick butt. With or without taking names! But, like Charles Bronson said to those Mexican kids in THE MAGNIFICENT SEVEN when one of them accused his father of being a coward:
"Responsibility is like a big boulder that weights a ton! It wears them down until it buries them in the ground. And nobody tells them they have to do this! They do it because they want to and because they love you. I have never had that kind of courage."
From the sound of it, however, your father was truly courageous.
Condolences, my friend. I lost my dad a few years back. He was the only member of my birth family who supported my becoming a writer. I'm glad you had those movie nights with your dad.

2) Will there be a sequel in which Feithera and the Aerie of the Bird People (the militant Inhumans who raised the Golden Age Red Raven) turn out to be one-and-the-same?

Just wanted to add my voice to the others wishing you solace. I lost my dad at 15. I'm 66 now and still feel his influence on me.
Ross, I know how tough it is to lose a parent, as I lost my dad in 1999. He was getting ready to watch the Alabama vs. Ole Miss football game, sat down in his chair, and never got back up. But God understands, and He cares. I pray that God will give comfort to you and to your family as you adjust and grieve.
This is a brilliant cover, Ross. It had to be inspired by the near-identical poses and angles on the two characters; they fit just right.
I, too, wish that more could be done with the Infinity Inc. characters. I think the only ones who have gotten much attention are Jade and Power Girl (and PG hardly counts for your purposes since she's not the offspring of Superman, but just an alternate version of Supergirl). Maybe if, since Rebirth apparently reopened access to the original multiverse, we get to revisit the old Earth-Two, we could actually get to see the children of the Infinity Inc. founders.
And I add my voice of condolence over your father. I envy the good relationship you had, which my life lacked.

I never heard of Northwind until just now. As for Rebirth, DiDio seems be pushing DC back to the New 52 style, having killed off a bunch of characters, damaging Lois and Clark marriage, and a bunch of other stuff not related to devolving the DCU back to the New 52 period. I don't think Infinity Inc will make a comeback anytime soon.
Thanks to all for the kind words, you guys are the best. Yes, Dad checked out the blog from time to time (even if he didn't know 95% of the characters) and he really liked whenever I was interviewed and made a point to listen.

I know several have said this already, but man, I'm so sorry about your loss. It sounds like you and your dad had a pretty great bond, and losing one like that would be unimaginable.
