Giant Man Vs. The Atom
Ray Palmer and Hank Pym have a history on this blog - they were last seen battling Kang and Chronos in a two parter that began in STF #1843 and concluded in STF #1844... which was inspired by one of the back up stories featured in the epic STF #1000... They also found themselves in a sticky situation in STF #65... and were at odds while Pym was in his Yellowjacket persona in STF #29...
This is only the first chapter of a two-part tale as well - make sure you come back tomorrow for the exciting conclusion!

did the atom ever become a giant in comic books?
Doll Man had size-changing powers before either of them.
The Atom has become a giant but only in microverses as far as I can remember. Regarding "Palmer Particles" never heard of them since the Atom uses white dwarf star material to power his outfit.
I do find it interesting that (as the above Anon alluded) both the Arrowverse Atom and the MCU Ant-Man have found ways to make their shrinking technology reverse direction into growth. A fight between those two would be an interesting feat for the VFX crew.
As an aside, I've never really understood those antennae on Giant-Man's forehead. There might have been an in-universe explanation at some point, but I suspect that Jack Kirby just thought they'd look cool.
A much-worse theft was Hank stealing--and reversing--Ray's costume color scheme.
Bob Greenwade- As Giant Man, Hank could also shrink and become Ant Man (though he did so less and less often over time). His costume didn't change when he shrank, so I think the antennae were still for communicating with ants.
In terms of real-world chronology? The Atom was changing sizes about three months _before_ Hank Pym! So, I'd say the latter is the plagiarist; not the former.
Alaraic -- Thanks for the clarification. That's a good in-universe explanation... though it doesn't completely allay my stated suspicion.
Would love to see Choi Atom, Palmer Atom, Pym Ant Man, and Lang Ant Man.
Even throw a Wasp or Yellowjacket, etc into the mix. Tiny Titans Team-up!
@Kerry Yates: you forgot Agent Tom of T.H.U.M.B. and Inch High, Private Eye.
and Atom Ant!
