Galactus Vs. The Metal Men
This may seem like a lopsided battle, but I think The metal Men might still have a chance. The definitely have a history battling alien intrudes as well as giant-sized menaces. Plus, not being human, they may be able to get in close while not being detected by Galactus. Whatever their chance at success, it would be a tough battle, and fun to read about.

Uh-oh! It looks like the Metal Men are the victims of mistaken identity. Could Galactus have mixed up "Mercury" with "Merryman" in the phone book?
Great follow-up to yesterday's cover, Ross. Thanks, again!! :-)
And Cary alludes to the #2 item on my wish list. :)
In this story, I do expect that Mercury and/or Tin would be the ones to save the day. In all, though, I do think that this match-up would make for an interesting read.
Nice cover. With Halloween coming soon, how about MORBIUS vs JACK O'LANTERN (DC)?
No contest.... in 0.00000000000000001th of a second and STILL Champion of the Universe ...." GALACTUS " !
@Wolfhammer: or Jack O'Lantern and Linus?
#BG: Well, let's face it. It'd be relatively easy for an extra-terrestrial (to whom we all look alike) to confuse Mercury and Merryman. They're both tall and skinny. They both crack wise. And both of their crime-fighting code names begin with "m-e-r!"

Perhaps by sabotaging the device that Galactus uses [in at least some stories] to draw the world's energies into himself, while he's temporarily busy trying to swat their team's other members?

But -- as he's sure to point out -- Mercury is the only one of them that's liquid at room temperature."
^_^
Yeah; but, technically, so are Earth people (= 98% water)!
Cary - "The #2 item on my wish list" is the Inferior Five versus Galactus.
And I suspect (though I'm still in the process of looking it up) that the 98% figure is rather high.
Simreeve - That would be the likely method -- Mercury to get there, since (as you say, and as the robot himself often points out) he's liquid, and Tin to do the actual sabotage.
@Carycomic and Bob Greenwade: The body of the average adult human is about 65% water. Infants' bodies are about 85% water (which my married sister could vouch for, re: her five year-old son's initial toilet training).
