Rolling Thunder
My brother Eric (you may know his robots), suggested the idea of a superhero biker team, and even though I thought it would be tough to get multiple characters with motorcycles to fit on one cover, the idea rattled around in my brain until I finally decided to give it a shot. STF has already established the partnership of Ghost Rider and Evel Knievel in more than one adventure, so I figured that they would be a good duo to start assembling the team with. I had been wanting to use Kaneda from Akira on a cover for ages and I was happy to also feature the star of one of my favorite childhood books, The Mouse and The Motorcycle. Black Canary is a biker babe who can more than hold her own in a fight, so she fit right in, and the team was complete!

Are they all five somehow a single mutant that projects their power onto someone else? Go Team America!
Hey Ross... where is Batgirl and her batcycle??? later.... jack-el
...or the Greg Saunder's version of The Vigiante also from DC... he rode a cycle and would have added a diverse look to the group with his singing cowboy motif.....
later.... jack-el
Batgirl and her cycle would have been cool, but I think Black Canary is a better fit for this team in terms of powers and personality.
On a related topic, this does give me some hope for my earlier suggestion of a team of horse-riding heroes, starting with the Shining Knight and the original Ghost Rider.
Actually, I think Motor Mouse (from the "Auto Cat and Motor Mouse" segment of the 1970's Hanna-Barbera series THE CHATTANOOGA CATS) predated the "Runaway Ralph" books.
Rescuing Wheelie and the Chopper Bunch perhaps?
@Raphael
If you think she'd rescue those Lovebug rip-offs, you don't know Grayson. ;-)
Looking at Ralph and loving it! I can truly say this a team-up I would not have come up with.
@Raphael: "The Mouse and the Motorcycle" came out first, then the Motor Mouse cartoons, then the sequel "Runaway Ralph". Ralph, the character, was also the mouse in the first book.
I would have added the Biker Mice From Mars.
