The Teen Titans Enter The Marvel Universe (and more!)

It's too bad that anthology comics don't seem to sell well these days, because they were among my favorites growing up.  I loved when World's Finest became a dollar comic and would include back-up stories featuring some of my favorite characters that did not have their own solo series.  I also really dug Action Comics Weekly, which got me to sample characters that I might not have otherwise, like Wild Dog, Blackhawk or the original Secret Six.  Marvel released a bunch of anthologies they called Megazines at one point  that I was a fan of as well.  All of these titles felt like great values to me, and I'd love to see more of their kind in the current market.

This is awesome! Congratulations on 1100 issues and covers!

Aw, yeah...Titans!
The long and short of it - ha!

The World's Finest was a great book. So was Adventure Comics with Aquaman, Plastic Man and Ditko's Starman, Prince Gavyn. I need to find all of those issues - and Batman Family!

The Nightwing and Speedy stories in Action Comics Weekly were pretty cool!

Oh yeah, Adventure was another great one! Thanks, Dave!

I liked dollar comics, but enjoyed the older 100 pagers with their backups being usually golden age stories with characters I discovered for the first time. The dollar comics were a good deal and I enjoyed most of them, especially WF and Adventure! Batman Family had some good and bad, but still worthwhile. This is a really good cover, another that I would love to read the stories! Way to go with 1100! Seems you hit 1000 not so long ago!

Not to be a nitpicker, but the original Secret Six -- who starred in seven issues of their own title in 1968 -- is one of my all-time favorite series. The revival in Action Comics Weekly 20 years later was a pale shadow that didn't come close. And it's revelation of the core mystery from the original series -- who is Mockingbird? -- wasn't the answer that the creator, E. Nelson Bridwell, intended.

I loved the Superman Family anthology.

I would love to see the Teen Titans v New Mutants or Young Avengers. You've probably fine those somewhere, haven't you?

Until this very moment, I never realized that I wanted to see a Puck/Elongated Man team-up. Now I know my life will never be complete until it gets made for real.

You're right about the old 100-page Super Spectaculars. WORLD'S FINEST, in particular, lived up to its name in that regard. That is; till just before the original CRISIS ON INFINITE EARTHS. The anti-climactic way the writers chose to break up the Silver Age Batman/Superman team-up was undeniably inexcusable!
