Mac Raboy and Alex Schomburg are at the top of my list of favorite Golden Age artists. I love checking out the classic covers that they created back then, they must have jumped off of the racks. I was happy to combine the two masters of the art form here.

Green was a frequently used color scheme back in the Golden Age, wasn't it? I don't mind, though. These guys could be (and probably would be) ret-conned in a modern story as one of those proto-Hydra factions run by the Red Skull and Wolfgang von Strucker (from behind the scenes)! Nice blending, Ross. :-)
Nice! Now we've got Toro at the top of page one, and the Human Torch at the bottom! How about that!?
shows how people lke Alex Ross have made so much of a difference in comics for such a long time. Captain Marvel jr and Air-Boy??
I'd opt for Dr. Fate and Airboy vs. Lord Misery!
How about a second one-on-one team up between Deadman of Justice League Dark and Dead Girl of the X-statix?
The Bombardiers look like a cult wearing the half Dr. Fate masks !!
Except for the one, upper right corner, wearing a KKK-surplus hood.
unrelated team-up suggestion: a light-hearted meeting between Wally West's twin kids and Power Pack.
Maybe vs. Lord Pumpkin on Halloween! :-)
