I can't help it, I tell you. Michael Holt is a terrific character, no arguments there... but, every time someone says "Mr. Terrific," the first image that flashes across my mind is of a guy in Peter Pan slippers, with "FAIR PLAY" across his tummy in large, block letters. ;)

I know how you feel, Anon. The first time I was introduced to the Golden Age Mr. Terrific (nee Terry Sloan), in the same centennial adventure that reintroduced the Seven Soldiers of Victory, I almost immediately confused with that Capt. Kangaroo character, Tom Terrific!
It's interesting that this should come up the same morning that I come across an article remembering a one-season Tron knockoff, "Automan." I don't think it has any applicability here; it's just an interesting thing to note.
But the discussion on the two Mr. Terrifics got me thinking: what if Michael and Terry were to team up with Peter Parker and Miles Morales? It could even be a two-parter, with Peter and Terry starting in the Silver Age and Miles and Michael finishing it up in the Bronze Age.
The only Automan I ever heard was a Robotman knock-off that eventually married Ilda (the droid-secretary of late 21st century private eye Star Hawkins).
Back to seriouness, though: having just read the JLA/STH TPB, "CHAOS CRISIS," I think Tails the Flying Fox could give both these guys a run for their mental money. And maybe even get Tron's autograph in the process!
When we were younger, my sister and I found a particularly freckled egg in one of the carton of eggs from the grocery store. We separated it from the carton and gave it its own place in the refrigerator and named him: Stanley Beamish!
That just goes to prove what good eggs you two are.
not to make light. of Automan, liked the show, especially when Robert Lansing was on it calling him Otto Man!! Cursor was a real find!!
side note: Alan Young of Mr Ed fame played him in the pilot which might still be found on youtube!
Whereas, nowadays, a curser is anybody who drops F-bombs every five minutes like they were pre-AWAKENINGS Robert Deniro (minus the acting talent).
