Power Girl and Power Rangers

Sure, there's a new Supergirl movie coming out soon, and Milly Alcock is a talented actress - but I think a lot of comic fans are wondering when Power Girl is going to make her live action debut.  I mean, Sydney Sweeney is sitting right there, perfect for the role!

Personally, I think whoever plays Power Girl should put on a bit of muscle first. But you do raise a fair point...

Mulch? Is Groo going to get involved in this story somehow? (And am I the only one who remembers that running gag?)

i think this may be a crappy cover story but may have some value for future developments!! let the wood chips fall where they may!

Maybe Rita Repulsa and Witchipoo could join forces; they both have a menagerie of minions puppets and sound alike.

P.S.---who's Sydney Sweeney?

She plays the teenage flashback self of one of the main characters from some Game of Thrones-type series.

@Carycomic: which one? That series has GOT more imitators than "Survivor"!

The one that sounds more like it ought to be a kung fu action/adventure film: House Of Dragons.

The only Sydney Sweeney I know is the one from the infamous jeans commercial.🙂

If you say so, Ross.

I watched most of the Supergirl TV show hoping to see Power Girl show up, especially once the multiverse was introduced. Similarly, I also was hoping to see Ambush Bug make his live-action debut. Neither ever happened. I'm still disappointed.

Who is Mulch? Where was he introduced? He looks more like a Spectreman villain than either Powergirl or the Power Rangers.

Just a random monster from the Power rangers cover. I called him Mulch because it seemed fitting.

Perhaps her time has passed, but I thought Elisha Cuthbert was the perfect choice to play Power Girl. And as far as I know she’s never suggested that maybe she believes in eugenics, so that’s a plus.

Finally, a cover I recognize. This was from the Hamilton Comics run on Power Rangers. The original monster was called Swamp Man. Let's see if Blogger lets me link to my review.

Eugenics=genetics?

Has there ever been a Power Ranger, Power Company team up? Guest staring Luke Cage, Power Man , Power Girl, and the Powderpuff Girls ever.

Oops I forgot Power Pack.

That's a relief. I thought for a moment Man-Thing might've had a love child by Pamela Isley.

@Daviticus: What jeans commercial?

Carycomic said...

Some wanna-be Calvin Klein outfit called American Eagle. I'm a Levi's lifer, myself.

Just ask the POWERS that be!!

I'd gladly watch Sydney Sweeney take on the role of Hawkgirl... particularly if they let her wear Hawkman's costume. ;)

Having seen her in that needless remake of "House of Wax," I would say there's a justifiable reason her time is past.

Wasn't Power Company the Federal super-group that Skyrocket originally worked for, over @ DC?

Carycomic said...

Or she could just wing it. ;-)

Here's an idea for an extremely showy team-up: Guardians of the Galaxy and Kaizoku Sentai Gokaiger!

Or Batman and Moonlight Mask and/or Golden Bat!

Or, failing that, I'd settle for GOTG Meeting Tokuso Sentai Dekaranger. Just so Cosmo can meet Doggie Kruger!
