Now that Johnny Storm is officially in the MCU, we really need to see him and Spider-Man alongside each other. They have a great relationship in the comics, and it would be fun to see that brought to the big screen. The only thing I want to see more out of the cinematic Fantastic Four is of course a Thing/Hulk battle.

Ah, yes! "Diablo: the Smoke Monster from the 5th Dimension." I remember reading the original reprint of this story, quite fondly. One of Kirby's Kreatures (as I used to call them). Why 1980's Marvel never depicted him fighting against the Golden Age Vision is beyond me!
Are you looking for Johnny from "First Steps" and Peter to team-up? I think it would be wacky for Chris Evans to play both Steve and Johnny - just once!! HA!
Just a while ago I was thinking of suggesting a team of flame-related heroes, not remembering whether you already had one. And now that this reminds me, I don't remember what specific context I had in mind, whether it was a specific foe or just some silly pun.
But on a related note, I don't think we've seen DC's female Firebrand in here yet, have we? It might be interesting to see her paired with the Golden Age Human Torch.
And on related note to that, Red Tornado has had an adventure with Johnny Storm, but not with fellow elemental android Jim Hammond. And it's a notable loss to the world of comics that water and earth don't (at least, as far as I'm aware) have their own representatives in that.
The Hotheads is a Fire-Based STF Team. Firebrand has appeared 8 times.
Interesting smoke monster, is it Kirby/Ayers, during the early years of books like Tales of Suspense or Journey into Mystery when Kirby worked on the books?
Johnny has evolved in ways that Peter wouldn't have believed. Careful, you two...When SMOKE gets in your eyes!!
Diablo debuted in Tales Of Suspense v.1/#9 (Dec. 1959).
But, ironically, neither her brother (Rod "the Golden Age Firebrand" Reilly) nor her literary progenitor (the Golden Age Wildfire nee Carol Vance-Martin) have appeared here. Not even once! Whereas the Hotheads are long overdue for a 2nd appearance.
Ever since his cameo in the first Captain America movie I have wanted Jim Hammond, the Torch to appear in the MCU.
