Aquaman and Captain America in "When War Comes Ashore!"
This Golden Age team up is long overdue. A lighthouse haunted by Nazis seems like just the kind of case that would bring these heroes together. Aquaman and Cap shared a Bronze Age adventure in STF #3436...

"Ich bin Der Blaue Geist. Wilkommen auf Fang Rock...und zu eurem Toden!"
The Blue Ghost is soon to be the black & blue poster child of pain since Cap & Steve each have super strength!!
A...transparent fact.
;-)
I actually wouldn't be against this being part one of a team-up between these two and the Fourth Doctor (with him appearing in part two).
And the Nazis' reason for trying to convince everyone that the island is haunted could be revealed as...a sibling to the Death-dealer From The Depths (of the Dead Sea)!
@Anon1207: you did NOT say that!
Oh, yes, I did. ;-D
Anyway, Cap and Aquaman's collective super-strength might be cancelled out by the Blue Ghost's apparent telekinetic ability to levitate a mounted swordfish out of the sea in order to suffocate it in mid-air!
So many people don't realize Aquaman was a Golden Age hero. I don't think he was in the JSA nor the 7 Soldiers of Victory. He was probably in the All Star Squadron though but I don't remember. I never saw him in a crisis between the JSA and JLA.
But he is remembered mostly in his Silver Age form with the addition of Aqualad and Aqualass and his marriage. The death of Jr is one of the great Bronze Age transition stories.
"Travesty" would be a more accurate term.
Aquaman wasn't in the JSA, but he turned up in issue 60 [IIRC] of All-Star Squadron just in time to be included in the group photo of all the members that FDR had requested... just before the changes caused by CoIE took effect, so that the version of the developed photo actually seen by FDR omitted him (and Superman, Batman & Robin, Wonder Woman, and Green Arrow & Speedy) but included the Freedom Fighters and some other former Quality heroes who hadn't had duplicates on pre-Crisis Earth-2.
