Robin (Damian Wayne) and Hawkeye (Kate Bishop)

There has been a lot of discussion abut who will play Batman in James Gunn's DCU.  Maybe even more important will be the casting for Damian Wayne.  I just hope they learned a lesson from Shazam! and find someone young enough to play the character for a few years.  We don't need to see a 22 year old Damian in the sequel.

Who is the villain in this one and what are his capabilities? I'm afraid that for once I have no idea myself.

The Psycho Pirate controls emotions with his Medusa Mask and has been around since DC's Golden Age.

@Ross: So long as the under-22 year-old isn't a J. Gordon Levitt look-alike, I'll be happy. Officer Robin Blake, GCPD?! Ugh! Worst made-for-film revision in DC movie history!

@Jason: actually, there were two Psycho-Pirates! Charles Halstead, a psychologically manipulative linotype-setter who was obsessed with ruining his boss (a 1940's media mogul). And Roger Hayden, his ex-cellmate-turned-successor (who technically debuted during the Silver Age).

I'm more interested in when we'll be seeing Kate in the future of the MCU. I know she's supposed to be in Doomsday and Secret Wars, but will we have an actual payoff of Kamala Khan forming the Young Avengers? The team was even teased in Marvel Zombies, with the two of them and Riri (and F.R.I.D.A.Y.) working together, and we know Kamala intended to invite Cassie. Toss in Tommy, Billy, and maybe Skaar, and there's your team! But will it happen? I do hope so!

PS: I also hope we get to see Kate use that boxing-glove arrow.

Ah. I *am* familiar with Psycho Pirate from his appearance in 1986's Infinite Crisis series, but did not recognize him by his costume here. Looks different to me from what I remember seeing him wearing, though it has been many years since I glanced at it last (lost my copies of it many years ago). Thank you. :-)

I'm hoping to see them together as well, Bob. Sadly, with all the MCU delays and cancellations, they maybe called The Middle-Aged Avengers seeing as they'll be in their early to mid 40's before we see them finally teamed up in their own movie. In fact, the cast reveal teaser will be done with names printed on walkers instead of director chairs :-D Also, I've always wondered where our Avenging Archers keep those boxing gloves and other trick arrows before use. Seems a little unwieldy to have in a back pocket during a brouhaha. Perhaps a pocket dimension in the bottom of their quivers for storage?

One of the things I know about Hollywood is that they rarely learn their lesson. It's usually the same mistake made in a different way.

I kind of figure that the volume that the glove itself is actually made of some kind of extra-strong silk, filled with a quick-expanding foam (both of which exist in the real world).

I think that's exactly how Green Arrow once canonically explained his boxing glove arrow! Basically, an inflatable balloon made of the same kind of leather as a regulation prize-fighting glove.

Boy, Ross, kid stuff ..you DON'T do! Psycho Pirate was ok on the Arrow Crisis version, i think. So many versions of Crisis now. who would have thought it possible?

Interesting pairing. Nice job. How about a Hawkgirl vs Deathbird battle. They’re both pretty savage and it’d be a nice matchup…

Especially if done as a sequel to yesterday's issue!

Well, you know what they say: "There are only three original ideas floating around Hollywood at any one time."

An aerial cat-fight like that would definitely have multiple real-life copies flying off the shelves. :-)
