I thank you, too, Mr. Woods. If only this is the first time Ross has used _any_ of the Red Wolves, here! Of course, in this case, he's used the Johnny Wakely version (which is the first version of the character I ever heard of). That's when Marvel apparently decided to make him the Native American equivalent of Lee Falk's Phantom. That is; a multi-generational hero With each succeeding Red Wolf regarded as being the same one as his predecessor!
So, I can't help but wonder if Will Talltree's father was the Golden Age Red Wolf. And, if so, whether he employs shamanic wizardry to send Ted Grant back to the Old West. Or if the time travel will be a side-effect of some WWII-era fight against Per Degaton.
Oops! That second line in the first paragraph should've read "If only because..." Sorry about that, Chief!
One more thought for this morning. I'd personally go with the second guess. If only because the story beyond this cover could serve as a sequel to STF #2063 (from Dec. of seven years ago)!
Man, thank you SO MUCH for this, friend! I wasn't sure if you'd pull it off, or even want to, with the characters being so oddly matched! But here we are!
For anyone wondering, I suggested it because they're the athletic mascots of my two main alma maters... my high school mascot is the Wildcats, my college is the Red Wolves!
And Cary, I think he has used Red Wolf (at least one of them) a time or two before, but it's been a few years. And glad I could help, my pleasure!
Cary, this is the 6th Cover that has featured a red Wolf.

Ben, your suggestion has delivered a great cover.
It might be interesting to see some connection between Red Wolf and Timber Wolf.
And Cary's already shown a connection between Red Wolf and the Phantom; I think they'd be an interesting pairing.

Then, how about Razorback meeting Porky and Sylvester at Wide-load Annie's Star Stop? As sort of a sequel to that vintage WB cartoon where the two of them got UFO-napped by some bird-billed alien from Jupiter.
Still, if Wolfhammer has his heart set on a never-yet-done team-up with Catwoman, I would heartily recommend the Golden Age Catman (from Fox Features Comics).
Actually, have you seen what YouTuber Austin McConnell is doing, in trying to create a cinematic universe with all mostly forgotten public domain characters? Really cool stuff, and the Golden Age Catman is part of it! He's even already put together a pilot for a Catman animated series!

Red wolf and Marvel's original Ghost Rider might work. Wildcat on his cycle, here? Maybe a horse? Maybe a hovercraft??
I, for one, would love to hear Porky's reaction to Buford Hollis' resemblance to an anthropomorphic pig. If only because I got a good chuckle at hearing Howard the Duck describe Kyle "Nighthawk" Richmond as a walking case of feather-envy!

To see Porky's reaction to a person dressed up to resemble an anthropomorphic pig! Remember Howard the Duck's amused reaction to Kyle Richmond's Nighthawk costume?

@Cary He hasn't used either of those names for his stuff. He's called it both the Bargain Bin Cinematic Universe, and later on the Super-Zeroes. He's using Cat-Man, as I mentioned before, along with Spider-Queen, the Mighty Atlas, and Six-Gun Gorilla.... and I feel like I'm forgetting one or two. If you search Austin McConnell on YouTube, you'll find his videos talking about it, and it's pretty cool!
I have viewed his stuff. And it's very good! But, there was another Youtuber who pointed out what public domain Golden Agers could be used to form an alternate Justice League. For example: the Wonder Woman prototype known simply as...Amazona!
