Human Torch and Metamorpho

As I had hoped, Metamorpho will be getting a push now that he will be getting his live action debut in the upcoming Superman movie. DC Comics has announced the first ongoing Metamorpho comic in decades.  Let's hope it can reach the heights of the Bob Haney/Ramona Fradon classic series.

Golden Age Brainwave; Golden Age Torch; and Silver Age Metamorpho? I'm awestruck that you were able to blend these three separate images together so flawlessly!

The Haney/Fradon Metamorpho is an underrated gem of the Silver Age.

Methinks that, in the Ross-verse, Brainwave did steal Jim Hammond away from that other Thinker. The one who invented the Quasi-Motivational Destruct Organ in FF Annual v.1/#4.

Sad-but-true.

That's Johnny, not Jim

Loved the original Run of Metamorpho, it looks like a Human Torch from the Strange Tales days, Brainwave is in trouble when Doris and Sapphire turn up !

Like the idea. But, Rex & Ben and maybe Plas as a 3 Musketeers??

Ross is right. Johnny Storm's eyes are visible (barely so, but still visible) through the facial flame. And always were.

How about this Brainwave vs. Professor X?

Loved the original Metamorpho run! It gives off major Human Torch from the Strange Tales vibe. Brainwave is definitely in for trouble when Doris and Sapphire show up!

UI too thought this was the 40s Torch until I reread it with the "kid" & thought this must be the F. 4 version even though I don't know how old looking the 40s android was supposed to be. This Brain Wave & Marvel's Egghead would make for an interesting team-up villain-wise against some heroes. This Brain Wave & the Gremlin from Marvel (Soviet Super-Soldiers) & the Peeper from Mutant Force team up as "The Bald-Headed Baddies" LOL

After viewing the Human Torch covers, I see that you tossed both the 40s hero with the Fan. 4 hero in the same tab which makes things a bit confusing at times. I hope you split them back up as two different characters to make things easier in the near future. Also your cover from 4/11/21 is gone from view. Is there a reason why?

This Human Torch has mostly teamed up with females as part of another heroic team = Platinum, Dumb Bunny, Fire, Elasti-Girl, Wonder Girl, Starfire 2, Phantom Lady, Firebrand 2, Wonder Woman, Black Canary 1. Also non DC females Tara (Herculoids) & Elastic Girl (Incredibles) as a Fantastic Four team member.

He's teamed up with Black Canary 2, Power Girl and Doctor Light 2 as part of Fantastic Four team-ups. I think Johnny is overdue for some 1 on1 female team ups with Zatanna, Hawkwoman, Gypsy (a hotfoot anyone?), Ice, Vixen (this would be his 1st black female team-up), Supergirl, Batgirl 2, Raven, Terra, Lois Lane, Mera, Lori Lemaris, Insect Queen 2 & Mary Marvel (he's already teamed up with CM & Jr on solo covers) & the Huntress from Earth-2 (as he's met all of the other female JSA members).

Some non DC heroines team ups could include Goldie Gold, Fathom (Elementals), Blazer (Justice Machine), Rainbow Brite, Firestar (I know she's Marvel but they deserved a team up of their own by now) & Frosta (She-Ra). Also the cartoon version of the Wonder Twins (he could tell them his team replaced him with a robot due to his powers & he wants to be a SF member).
