Was it ever revealed exactly what made Richie Rich so wealthy? Just what was his father's business after all? Goodness knows that family had plenty of disposable income.

Longtime fan. This one is a step above. Great work as always.
@Ross: maybe he comes from one of those Old Money families who like to think their only dirt-poor ancestors were Adam and Eve. That, alone, might qualify Mr. Rich for membership in one of those string-pulling secret societies that fictional plutocrats (a la Tony Stark) love so much.
Racketeering, scams and fraud. Nobody could get that rich on an honest living.
I generally just assumed that Richie's grandfather (by now, great-grandfather) had a well-paying job, and made sound investments in the post-Depression economy, a practice continued to this day (whether "this day" is the 1960s or the 2020s).
Is the screen right above Richie's comic book showing Super Cafe's Batman from the How It Should Have Ended YouTube page? If so, well done! Love that guy.
You know why he says he was was included? "Because I'm Batman!"
This was a tough cover to pull together. I wonder if anyone can identify all the bat-sources
Cool! Across the Bat-verse. And it looks like this Watcher has been hitting the gym.
Bat-mania! Bat-genius!
Multiversal remote? Possibly obtained from Rick Sanchez? Interdimensional Cable?
Well played Ross, amongst all the animated batmen, you managed to slip in bat-mouse from Captain Carrot and his Amazing Zoo Crew #14.
If memory serves, the Rich family has a bunch of different businesses, most quite successful. That's how they built their fortune. Richie Rich had a cool cartoon in the 1980s that I grew up with and enjoyed.
Although now Richie's going to turn into Bat-Mite, isn't he?
Brilliant just Brilliant, Love it, this one was so much work but definitely worth it !
@Ross: The two in the top left corner are Batman '92 (voiced by Kevin Conroy) and Batman '66 (played by Adam West). While Row 4, two up from the bottom, is the Batman from Super Friends (voiced by Olan Soule'). While third from the top, same row, is the Duane Capizzi Batman (circa mid-2010's).
Oh! And Row 5, second from the top, is the manga-style Batman who took on Lord Deathman in a story narrated by Bat-mite (for TB&TB:TAS).
Top row, third from the right. Isn't that the 1968 Filmation Batman who was also voiced by Olan Soule?
question is What does the Watcher need in return? This is something very special!
As to the family luck, tap into an oil well that goes on forever, silver mines, gold mines, new inventions, etc. Think of a good "curse" that keeps getting better as long as their heart stays pure. (nice change.)
As to the Batman, Lego (top 1-5), (3-4) the Batman, (4-4) superfriends,(4-5)B&B w Legends of B. & Batmite 50's version purple costume)
While you're getting backup circuit boards from the multi universe Radio Shack, don't overlook the Nielsen's.
Anyone see a good cover with She-Hulk and Superman?
Anon954 might have a point. Especially if the Golden Age Cheetah, Priscilla Rich, is related to Richie's father!*
*Grand-nephew? First cousin once-or-twice removed? etc. etc.
Yeah, it's a regular Council of Bruces here. Too bad it didn't include the reimaginings from the Tangent imprint, or by Stan Lee.
@Ben W: it was more likely obtained from Jeffrey Jones or Christopher Walken. ;-D
P.S.---Row 3, fifth one down. Is that the Michael Keaton Bat-pastiche from an episode of ANIMANIACS?
Speaking of families: how about Zelda "Princess Python" Dubois and Robert "Bloodsport" Dubois?
Hey group, I can't resist a late followup on this fantastic cover. But here goes:
Looking back on the earlier comments, maybe Richie Rich is a descendant of someone like Tiny Tim, after that Tim Cratchit became prosperous under the guidance of the reformed Scrooge. And maybe the Rich family could be distant relatives of Bruce Wayne? Hmm!
And it just hit me: Here, it looks like Richie Rich could be on his way to become a future Batman. Or perhaps... even a Watcher!
Stay tuned!
@Ken Roskos: actually, I think he's already destined to grow up to become one of the Avengers of Earth-41119. Perhaps a namesake of the DC Minuteman Dollar Bill!
I concur with Carycomic.
Richie should try to buy The Baxter Building so he can play with Franklin Storm whenever he wants.
He could also be related to Tweety & Sylvester's Granny. Imagine all the fun that foursome (or sixsome you add Gloria Gold & Dollar The Dog) could have.
I like the idea of Richie being related to the original Cheetah who was also a wealthy woman.
The Watcher should team-up with DC's Doctor Mid-Nite, the female Dr. Midnight or even Ten-Eyed Man for an offbeat visual adventure.
All those in favor say "EYE!"
^ LOL. Skeletor could loan out Tri-Clops as the villain for the match up.
Signed Visi-Lad of the 30th century.
^ Tuatara from DC's Global Guardians used a third eye to see in time streams & Madame Web is also a visual powered hero.
Am I the only one who thinks Cassandra Webb is the estranged identical twin of Mystique's mentor, Destiny?
