This is a match up that I would like to see. The Man of Steel up against the combined powers and abilities of The Avengers would be a sight to behold. Superman has battled Amazo before, but he was more familiar with that villain's power set - this battle would be even more challenging for him.

Magic is another major weakness for the Man of Steel. Take away Thor and Wanda, it's a question of which skills Super has adapted. Aliens to Hulk is different than Tony Stark to Hank Pym. Since it's not human, would Superman try to fully destroy it? This would be a great match up Ross.
I agree. This battle would be epic. In fact, the only way you could surpass it, Ross, is to have the Super Adaptoid take on Doomsday!
Now I'm starting to wonder if, when, and how Super-Adaptoid will show up in the MCU. We've already met Taskmaster and Echo this year, so adding him would just extend that theme even further.
@Cary: I'll tell you who'd be interesting to see up against Doomsday: The Hulk.
It would be interesting depending on which set of powers it has adapted.
The one in art seems to have adapted to Hawkeye, Captain America, the Wasp and Goliath. It looks like the one which fought in Avengers #45 which then copied abilities of Thor, Iron Man and Hercules which shorted out when it tried to use all. Superman's greatest asset is his speed to which Quicksilver is a blip and his heat vision if he determined it is non-sentient.
Or Super Adaptoid vs Amazo!
Smooth. These two really look as if they are in the middle of something. Superman's expression is perfect. Really annoyed. I only wish we could see more of the upcoming duel...
As for Super Adaptoid, I'd also like to see a match-up with Amazo. Maybe a card game, where the pot is various Super Powers...
@Bob That (Doomsday vs Hulk) has happened, kinda sorta, in the Superman/Silver Surfer crossover event! Probably my favorite of the DC/Marvel collaborations that's been published for real!
Mar-Vell had it figured out. Even after being raised as a down-to-Earth guy from Kansas, it's still amazing that Superman never developed any kind cosmic awareness. I think one of DC's mystical heroes would have to bail him out.
But what happens if it snags Superman's powers as well? This would be a harder fight than dealing with Parasite.
No harder than the canonical one-shot duel between the Super-Adaptoid and Cal "the Mimic" Rankin back in the early Sixties.
Now, THAT would be an even greater title bout. The Mimic versus Composite-Superman!
@Carycomic, or how about The Absorbing Man versus Composite Superman?
@Issac, or Super Adaptoid vs Amazo vs Replikon!
Or even Super-Adaptoi and Amazo vs. Bainiac!*
