Presenting part One of a Three-Part Epic! A blurry image of Kang from early promotional materials for Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania has made the rounds, and it looks promising. It's small and he is only seen in a reflection - but it does seem to look like Kang will indeed have the classic appearance from the comics. I enjoyed Jonathan Majors in the final episode of Loki, and I think he will be even better here.
Make sure you come back tomorrow to see where the story goes in Part Two!
Kang first encountered the JSA in STF #2294...

Timeless!
This isn't the first time that Kang has told the JSA that they're eternally done for. Yet, he keeps being proven wrong! When will he finally wise up to the fact that the Justice Society is just plain unconquerable?
"And we thought Per Degaton was trouble!"
Oh, Mr. Thunder? I think you're going to have to do more than just grab Kang's knee. What say you?
I haven't seen that photo in question, but I don't know how fascinated I'd be by a "blurry reflection." Besides, before we get any really good photos of Kang in Quantumania, I think we'll get a good look at him in a post-credit scene in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness -- after all, we're getting at least three and perhaps as many as five versions of Stephen himself.
Also, the fun think about Kang is that he can die horribly in any story and that doesn't mean the end of him. There'll always be more Kangs -- a nigh-unlimited supply. In the MCU, that means Kang will be around for as long as Kevin Feige and Jonathan Majors both want him to be. In fact, I wouldn't even be surprised if Quantumania had more than one Variant (though the manner of revelation probably would surprise me).
A little word fun: King Kong vs. Kang.
And speaking of Degaton (as I was at the start here), I note that he's never crossed paths with the Howling Commandos. They seem like just the sort of guys that he'd underestimate.
PS: The other day I was (re)proposing a group led by the Sixth Doctor, and also including Sabine Wren, Captain Ultra, and Flash Gordon. This Green Lantern costume also works for this team of "colorfully-dressed" heroes.
@Cary: Well, as I imply above, this may be a different version of Kang. In fact, it's entirely possible that Ross has more than one Kang on Saturday's cover.
Hopefully next part will be the Avengers vs Per Degaton.
Harry Tzvi Keusch
Can we get a cover to homage Derrick J Wyatt who passed away recently? Maybe some combination of Teen Titans, Transformers, Ben 10, Scooby-Doo and the Legion of Superheroes?
@Anon@12:22: Say, even independent of that, Scooby-Doo and the Mystery Inc. crew meeting up with one of the Autobots (my nominee would be Hosehead) would be quite interesting.
True, Bob. I'll miss DJW. Maybe featuring the supehero Tom Perkins made as an homage to him in the cover would be cool too
If nothing else, Ross, you could have Spider-man go up against the "Transformers Animated" version of of Blackarachnia.
