I was glad to see Forager the Bug get some time in the spotlight in the character's recent Mike Allred-Illustrated mini-series. I remember his role in Cosmic Odyssey decades ago, and I always wondered why more was not done with the New God. Let's hope its not another 30 years before he gets an opportunity to shine again.

Bug vs. Annihilus

Has Bug met Bug from The Micronauts? *Tik*
"...I always wondered why more was not done with the New God."
The most Discernible Cop-out?
"All memory of the events in 'Cosmic Odyssey' were wiped out by the various cyclical crises that have occurred throughout the multiverse since then."
A fairly different version of Bug was a featured character in Young Justice: Outsiders (Season 3). He got a holo projector and went to school with Halo. Ended up staying with the other non-human looking characters at Cadmus.
JJ: So, Bug's people actually being New Genesis humans who simply live underground, like Formicidae, got ret-conned away for good?
@CaryComic: Well, remember that Earth-16, where YJ takes place, is quite different from Earth-1 for most of the B- and -C list characters, including the secondary New Gods. In the E-16 universe, Bug's folks are insectoids and are considered barbarians and almost slave labor by the New Genesis folks. On Earth-1, I'm not sure if we've even see Bug or his people since Rebirth or even the New 52 started.
More's the pity. :-(
