Word is that a Flash movie is still in production with Ezra Miller still set to star. I hope there are some major changes made to his costume and performance if that is the case. While I have liked him on other roles, Miller's Flash was easily my least favorite part of the ill-fated Justice League movie.
These speedsters have crossed paths in the past:
Quicksilver needed The Reverse Flash's help in taking down a possessed Barry Allen in STF #727... Flash and Quicksilver fought each other along with the JLA and Marvel Universe in STF #1900... they battled over getting into the movies in STF #678... and they first met way back in STF #15...

While I REALLY like the Flash tv series, it pisses me off so much that Eobard changed the past and NONE of the TIME MASTERS or other time experts seem to have noticed.
Barry gets in trouble for Flashpoint but Reverse Flash kills Harrison Wells, launches the accelerator years early and to not work right, "creates" metahumans, changes so many lives and the timeline but no one from the speed ghosts to the time sensitive Dominators seem to be aware of any of it. Even with the Crisis coming a few years early, no time cops are showing up not even Booster Gold or the DC Legends of Tomorrow. Sloppy writing and editing doesn't begin to cover it.i

Anon, He's a good guy but he and Barry have an ongoing rivalry on this blog, as you can see from past covers...
A rivalry that allows for relatively easy mind-control. Look at the now-classic story line in WEST COAST AVENGERS, for instance, where he was an accomplice to those Commie super-villains of his own (partially) free will!
As for Barry not being able to use his super-speed to escape a common jail cell? The bars are probably made from Wakandan vibranium. Another fringe benefit of teaming up with an ex-Avenger with super-speed.

I know photo covers aren't your favorite, Ross, but someday you need to do the Avengers movies Quicksilver vs. the X-Men movies Quicksilver.
I mostly agree re: Ezra Miller. He's a very fine actor in general -- I've really enjoyed him in the Fantastic Beasts films to date -- but he's miscast as Barry Allen on many levels. Nonetheless, I'd like for him to stay for the solo movie, just to see what he makes of it.
Grant Gustin, on the other hand, is perfectly cast, and even looks quite a bit like the classic Barry from the 60s and 70s. And the upcoming season, even aside from Crisis on Infinite Earths, looks like it'll have some interesting twists.
These two speedster heroes do have enough of an ongoing relationship that I think we'd benefit from a tag for the pair, if we can come up with a nickname. Maybe SpeedShip?
Has STF ever done a group of speedster heroes? I think that these two would have to be at the forefront of such a team (probably with Barry as leader, and Quicksilver pushing a respectful rivalry with the attitude "I should be leader, but the mission comes first"). There should be plenty of speedsters to choose from, including Dash Parr (of the Incredibles), Sonic the Hedgehog, and Speedy Gonzales. (If you feel like you're short, you could even include my own creation, Speed Bump -- even if he's listed as just a "special guest appearance.")
Ugh, I agree 100% about Ezra Miller. SO miscast as Barry Allen. Miller plays his role more like a Peter Parker, a complete mistake.
Ross I am surprised you never teamed Quicksilver with Mercury from the Metal Men.

I think that Rick Cosnett, who played detective Eddie Thawne in the first season of The Flash, looks more like the Barry Allen of the comics than any other actor I've seen.
A dyed-blond Jeremy Renner could probably pass for the thirty-something Barry Allen I remember from the 1970's.
Teenage movie-goers...accepting Renner as a middle-aged Barry Allen?
Now, that's what I call a real Mission: Impossible!
