Well, it sounds like Ezra Miller is officially out as the cinematic Flash, and DC will start from scratch with a new actor and direction for the solo film. While I have enjoyed him in other roles, Miller was easily my least favorite part of Justice League, so I find this to be welcome news. Hopefully they will find an actor and director that can give the Scarlet Speedster his proper due.

Personal obligations and computer issues have created a perfect storm so I will apologize in advance that there will be no cover posted tomorrow, maybe not Friday either. I promise to double up on covers when I am back up and running to make up for the days I missed.

Ross, if you're talking about your dad and taking care of him and your family, speaking for myself, that is not an issue for concern. You're not on deadline with us.
And taking a little time to "relax" for family is the first thing any of those heroes would tell you to do.
As for the Flash, the movie version was ill conceived. The fact that Lex knew about all these people before Bruce says a lot about lacking understanding of Bruce's mind, fore planning, detective abilities and wealth management. Then again, that Lex knew who Superman and Batman really were kind of said a lot about the powers that be. 🚽

Seconded.
thirded, my friend....
do what you need to do for your self....
we will all wait and will still be here when you can return...
Consider the motion carried. You've been more than considerate giving us such advance warning.
Re: today's cover? I will guess that the guys with the guns are either SHIELD agents. Or, they're MIB's arresting Iron Man for being a Flash-killing Skrull!
Well, considering that you are working for free, I figure you have the right to take as much time as you need. All the best to you and yours.
I'm both glad and sad to see Ezra Miller out of the role. He's a good actor, but generally ill-fit for the part of Barry Allen. I did see a video where he was describing the story concept that he was pitching for his Flash script, and I thought it sounded like a lot of fun as well as a good way to stitch together many extant story elements. As long as he's out, though, here's hoping the studio finds someone better suited to the straight-laced science nerd that I know from the comics.
In other news, it looks like Avengers: Endgame will be featuring an Iron Man armor similar to the one shown here, which many fans have been missing.
As for your break, Ross, it's great that you gave us, your fans and Patrons, a heads-up on it. It's unanimous: you take care. Hopefully you'll be back with a new Captains Marvel cover (I'm seeing Shazam! tomorrow afternoon) and other fun stuff.
Re: Break
You can't get rid of us that easily. We'll wait.
And on behalf of your readers who post anonymously, agreed. Look after yourself and your family. We'll be back when you are.
It's not like I've never had to play catch-up.
I took a month or so off when my mother passed away. Take the time you need. The RSS feed will tell us when you're back.
I would love if they gave Wally West a movie, he deserve some love.
Maybe Miller and Kyle Gallner can make guest-appearances on the TV show as Flash counterparts from other parallel-Earths hit by the Crisis.
Just to echo what others have said, do what you gotta do. We can wait for you to return. Your page is the first thing I check each day and is a welcome relief to the daily grind. Bringing a smile to the faces of people you don't even know is no small thing and I commend you for it. Nostalgia for the past is common. But you create a nostalgia for a past that should have been and that is not common.
Sorry foryour loss, Ross.
You've created a great community here and, as shown above, all will gladly wait as long as you need. Thoughts are with you.
PS. As for the cover and the news that the DC movie universe Flash is being replaced, I think he should be used by MCU as the Whizzer in a Avengers/Squadron Supreme movie. Not to mention, using other former DC actors (Think Smallville or Lois & Clark's Superman would be willing to play Hyperion? How about an Affleck or Christian Bale Nightwing?)
Ezra would make a better Wally than Barry.
Family is important. And hey isn't that from the last issue of (Bart) Flash?
