I was surprised to see the animated Justice League Vs. The Fatal Five being advertised. I didn't even remember it being announced. It looks like its using the character designs from Justice League Unlimited, which is a plus for me. It only looks like a couple of Legionnaires are involved, but I like the inclusion of new Green Lantern Jessica Cruz. I haven't been following all of DC's animated releases the way I used to, but this one I think I will have to check out.

Yea; I'd pay to read this one. The other Fatal Fivers are pretty powerful but the big money match is Validus versus anyone. Some baby!
How about the Jetsons meet the Boyles (Wait 'Til Your Father Gets Home).
Another great cover! Any chance of the Fatal Five going up against the Byrne Fantastic Four (with Frankie Raye as the 2nd Human Torch)?? Five on five...
It basically sounds like an Elseworlds-style remake of the JLU episode where Green Arrow, GL Stewart, and Supergirl were taken to the 31st century to help free the majority of the LSH (who'd been captured--and somehow brainwashed--by the Fatal 5). With Supergirl, of course, remaining in the future, partially because that high-tech era reminded her so much of 21st-century Argo. And partially because her heart had (ahem!) gone green.
;-D
@Marc Ohare: A one-on-one between Validus and Thor would be my kind of main event.
@Anonymous: Nahhhhhhh! Give me Iron Man vs. Tharok. Talk about a hard-as-steel grudge match!
Hooray! My favorite evil mystic artifact, the Emerald Eye of Ekron!
I remember the original cover from which our host took the Fatal Five pictures. It mistakenly portrayed the Emerald Empress as the leader, when actually, Tharok has always led them (probably because he mind-controls Validus).
If it's just those four Avengers, I think they'd better call the reserves. QUICKLY.
I notice Ross corrected the original cover's mistake, by showing the word balloon coming from the actual leader of the F5.
As much as I like this cover (which I definitely do), I would've preferred a different iteration of the Avengers -- anything to pit the Emerald Empress against the Scarlet Witch. Maybe some future project can do that.
I've seen some promos for Justice League vs. The Fatal Five. In one, someone (I think it was Bruce Timm) described the Legion of Super-Heroes as DC's most-cancelled title. That kind of makes me wish I could write for them; that's another title (in addition to Power Girl) that I think I could handle on an ongoing basis, and give an interesting angle.
How about Catwoman (animated version?) and the Beagle Boys?
The winner will be the Avengers. Why? Wasp is not shown meaning Fatal Five will underestimate them and one of more of the Fatal Five will fall by surprise!

Wasp ambushes the Emerald Empres,s and takes up the Eye which she then uses to defeat the rest of the Fatal Five... just before it corrupts her into a replacement 'Empress' and uses her to take down the Avengers too. And then the LSH turns up...
@Anon#4: What about Magica de Spell and Dr. Strange; in a Free Comic Book Day comic, Magica used the term "sorceress supreme"; also isn't Magica's name inspired by the name of the primary female antagonist in Arthurian legend (in Marvel Comics, the name is "Morgaine le Fey")?
Wouldn't it be ironic if Magica referred to the good doctor as a "quack?"

Simreeve I like your scenario better. I had Wasp messing up Tharok wiring having him take out Validius.
The idea of Magica da Spell is a good one. There are so many potential antagonists, each with different personalities, Howard the Duck, Elmer Fudd, Mxyztplk, Fondue the Magician, the Scooby Doo gang, Dr. Fate...
The Spectre

Thank you. I think that your scenario would probably fit for a 1960s produced-by-Marvel version of the story, whereas mine would be more likely as a 1980s/90s produced-by-DC version.
