While Justice League missed the mark for me, I did like the tease at the end that an Injustice League/Secret Society of Super-Villains type of team will be formed to take them on in the future. It would be a nice change from the "powerful would be ruler and his army of cannon fodder troops" plot that we have seen a few times now. If only they weren't being led by Jesse Eisenberg's Luthor... if they're going to recast Batman, can't they recast him as well?

Hi Ross! Great one again, as always... love the dynamic on this page.
Had an idea for you for an upcoming cover; a Guardians vs Guardians vs Guardians cover. The original Guardians of the Galaxy facing off against the new team, as refereed by the Guardians of the Universe. Hope you think that's useful!
I'm with you, Ross. To paraphrase Linus in the pumpkin patch:
"Oh, Michael Rosenbaum, where are you?"
I also agree re: Luthor. As I've noted before, Jesse's a fine actor, and the character he plays isn't really a bad one -- it's just not Lex Luthor, despite going by that name. We haven't seen a Luthor that high-octane since he was using the name Alexei.
(I feel the same about Halle Berry's Catwoman: the movie's OK, other than being a bit heavy on the cat jokes, but separate it from anything DC.)
And this is a great cover. I'd love to see how the plot would play out in this issue.
I echo Bob's sentiments with regard to both today's cover and the Halle Berry version of Catwoman. Although, for the sake of my sanity, I tend to mentally relegate the latter to the same cine-verse as THE WATCHMEN.
@Cc: why not? Given that Ms. Berry was born in 1966 (the same year BATMAN: TOS debuted on ABC), Patience Phillips could have been born on the Watchmen's Earth the same year. With maybe even her mother being another of the Comedian's "paramours!"
How about Galactus joining the Legion of Super-Heroes ?
Joining the Legion?
Well, he's given us Galactus against the Legion twice.
Hmm, that would be quite a surprise for Mordru or the Time Trapper (or Glorith).
Or Darkseid, but we've had Darkseid vs. Galactus in the actual comic books.
Or even better? Galactus vs. Mr. Mxyzptlk!
Better still... Galactus vs. Ambush Bug!
Has Ross ever done Deadpool vs. Ambush Bug?
Actually, yeah: the fourth anniversary of which is two weeks from tomorrow!
Fifth anniversay, really! But, who's counting?
Well, then, let me be the first to wish both Deadpool and Ambush Bug... "Happy Anniversay!"
Sorry, Anon; I just couldn't resist.
Remona "Camille" Notri: my 2nd favorite Star Sapphire of the Silver Age!
I wonder if the power of her gem would be enough to satiate Galactus, permanently?
