The Falcon and Mr. T

Mr. T had a cartoon show when I was a kid, and it was truly bizarre.  He would team up with a group of gymnastic students and solve mysteries.  His dog even had a mohawk.  It sort of reminds me of today's Mike Tyson Mysteries - but at least that show is trying to be odd.

I don't know if you remember, but Mr. T was also in an episode of Alvin & the Chipmunks.

I remember the Mr. T cartoon. I recall a commercial advertising the A Team where a man had on a black leather jacket recalling Happy Days and how cool Fonzy was but that Mr. T exhibited a new kind of cool.

I did not know that Mr. T had been on a Chipmunks episode. I will have to look for that. I am surprised that I never saw him with Scooby Doo.

A funny one might be Mr. T vs. Grape Ape in a wrestling match. Hulk Hogan can referee it.

Speaking of funny, Saturday Night Live did a parody with Eddie Murphy playing the role. the move E.T. was popular back then. Murphy busts through the door and says, "I'm Mr. T. I'm looking for my boy E."

huh. Yeah Ross I honestly never thought of it like that, but Mr. T's show and Mike Tyson's shows are pretty much the same thing, but like you said, at least the Mike Tyson show is aware of how hilariously ridiculous it is.

I do remember this cartoon show tho, AND the cereal!

As good a team-up as this could be, I personally think Luke Cage and Mr. T would a better fit. Lets see how long those two Alpha males can get along.
Plus you can have Luke bust on Mr. T's mohawk, while Mr. T disses Luke's tiara.
Good times....

I loved that dog! He was, like, a Neapolitan mastiff/Chinese crestie mix.

P.S.---how about a cover teaming up Spidey with every Golden Age superhero no longer under copyright? You could call it:

"Enter...The Public Domain."

I think that Mike Tyson's Mysteries was intended to be a direct parody of the Mr. T show.

He had a great live action show, but my first time seeing him was as a body guard for Ricky Schroeder on Silver Spoons! He is tough and serious, but was better than most tough guys playing comedy. Somehow we could laugh with him, yet still respect him.
I only saw one episode of the cartoon, didn't impress me but I'm sure fans enjoyed seeing him in action.

Let's not forget his robot double "Mr. T Too" or was it actually 2? Same difference. And how they crammed a PSA into every script!

And the Impossible Man, too?

I would read this but you missed a chance to use an iconic Mr T line! Even better would be Mr T and classic-style Luke "Power Man" Cage.
