Microforce
I was hoping that since The Atom's suit was destroyed on DC's Legends of Tomorrow, there would be a new streamlined version closer to the comics once he rebuilt. From footage I have seen of future episodes, it looks like he will be back to the clunky Iron Man-type design with the ugly helmet. What's worse in the upcoming Justice League of America comic, the Ryan Choi Atom appears to be adopting a costume to more closely resemble the TV version. They're doing it backwards, it's Hawkeye all over again!

That's the thing to do nowadays. Change the comics to match the show/movie versions of the costumes. They think it will draw more people the the books, but it generally alienates long-time readers and only appeases a handful of people who will only read a few issues and give it up because the book is not really anything like what they've been seeing on the screen.
"He's rough, he's tough,
And bad guys yell 'Enough';
When he is up, and at 'em,
Atom Ant!"
Speaking of ugly helmets, I wonder how what the Concussion Protocol is for the JLA and Avengers? And why OSHA isn't after them for their lack of PPE.
Atom Ant!!! Hell's yeah! Been a good while since I've see him or any of his cartoons.
I too hoped with the mentioning of the white dwarf star, we'd finally see the real Atom on the show. Guess not:( And ol' clunky's here to stay huh? Damn....
Eh, it's always been that way honestly, Perry White, Jimmy Olsen, and Kryptonite were incorporated into the comics from the Superman RADIO Show, virtually the entire DC Superhero line reflected the camp dynamic of the 60s Batman TV show, and Wonder Woman reverted to 1940s adventures for a while in the 70s when her TV Show was set in that period. Kudos to Stan Lee and co for never succumbing to making the Hulk comic into a mute Jekyll and Hyde version of the Fugitive like the TV Show!
don't make me angry....you wouldn't like me if i was angry....lol
@BERT: But, it was Bill Bixby and Lou Ferrigno's acting that raised that series _above_ just a sci-fi version of THE FUGITIVE (a la Quinn Martin's THE INVADERS).
@Ross: excellent usage of Atom Ant! Personally, I never thought you'd team him up with Ray Palmer due to the similarity in names. But, since you've taken that bold step, might I humbly suggest a sequel where they team up with Captain Atom, Atom-Smasher, and "Atom" Blake the Boy Genius against that super-villainous robot...Mr. Atom?
Cary, don't forget Gardner Grayle and the Atomic Knights or, from a different perspective, Lady Quark or Molecule Man could fit in.
Good idea on this one. It was a little better. ;)
At least old Lobo is back
There's something bothering me about this one... some little thing... I can't quite put my finger on it.... #BadPunNoCookie
@Gary_Comic: Never intended to cast aspersions on either Mr. Bixby or Mr. Ferrigno. As a TV Show, for that era, the Hulk was fine. But No way in hell would I want to see the TV version replace the comic book version in the books themselves.
Ross maybe you could do a sequel on this one where the team splits up into smaller groups, one of which would be Atom, Atom Ant, and Ant Man!
Atom Ant? LOVE IT! But why no Ant Man or Yellow Jacket?
Actually, the MCU Hawkeye looks like the ULTIMATE version of Hawkeye. Blame Bryan Hitch if you don't like it.
Loving the inclusion of Shrinking Violet. My favorite little hero!
