Batman and The Black Terror
I am a sucker for retro-looking robots. Sure, we have modern movies focusing on high tech AI like Ex Machina - but give me the old school designs like in the cover above any day. It's one of the reasons I love watching Sky Captain and the World of Tomorrow - the movie itself is pretty good, but the designs of the robots, vehicles and machines are awesome to look at.

BLACK TERROR is one of those Golden Age characters that would go great with The INVADERS, FREEDOM FIGHTERS, or the ALL-STAR SQUADRON.
THANK YOU, ROSS! :-D
I vaguely remember requesting a team-up between the Golden Age Black Terror and the World's Finest Duo. If only because BT combined the best elements of both Superman and Batman. Well, I'm delighted to say that three-fourths of a granted request is better than none. If only because I'm fond of Old School humanoid robots, too!
Speaking of which; I think the ones in "SKY CAPTAIN..." were a kind of homage to one of the very first Depression-era Superman cartoons from Fleischer Brothers. With the Man of Steel's voice provided by a then-much younger Bud Collier.
There is actually a sci-fi book where they create actors to play roles. IN it the Batman franchise (as well as the Nightman show)wee all the Black Terror instead.
Ah, good old Black Terror! I love to see old public-domain superheroes get their resurgence!
I'd actually hoped to see some Nedor characters here, though I'd been thinking of teaming up Toni Stark with Iron Man, Dr. Hugo Strange with his cousin Stephen, or possibly The Ghost with his Dark Horse namesake, among other possibilities.
Yep, very cool to see a PD guy like the Terror get a second cover on here!
@ B.G.---I'd love to see George Chance (the Golden Age Green Ghost) and Fred Venable (the Golden Age Human Target) team up with their mutual grandson...Christopher Chance!*
*Ross could have the latter disguise himself as Bruce Wayne in order to visit Professor Nichols. The hypnotic regression specialist so often visited by Batman!
Awesome cover. I especially like the robot holding the gun and the knife.
Ross, you've produced the cover for yet another comic that I'd love to read.

With those two Stranges having to handle opposition that includes DC's Dr Hugo Strange, too? Perhaps with some of his 'Monster men', to give the Nedor hero suitably tough foes?
^-^

Lovely idea!

And while we're talking about possible team-ups, how about:
1/ Shang-Chi and I-Ching?
2/ Stan Lee and Funky Flashman?
Sonofjack: Nedor's Hugo Strange vs DC's Hugo Strange would be a ripping idea! (And BTW: I find B. D. Wong's portrayal of that villain on "Gotham" quite chilling... though not quite as creepy as how well the makeup people did in making him look like the comic-book version!) Stephen would, of course, be a part of that, since he's "Doctor Strange" while Nedor's Hugo is "Doc Strange."
