Hawkeye spent a lot of the first Avengers film under the thrall of Loki, so we did not to get to see much of the trademark character traits that have made him a fan favorite hero in the comics. I am hoping that is addressed in the upcoming sequel. I'd like to see him competing with Cap over leadership of the team and displaying his flirtatious ways with newcomer Scarlet Witch. Joss Whedon excels at writing interpersonal relationships, so I am confident some of the familiar Clint will come through in the film.

They might...provided Whedon never does a song-and-dance version of the Avengers.
I agree with you on Clint's characterization, Ross. I'm also hoping we get to see a little purple on Hawkeye, to make him more recognizably Hawkeye.
One problem with making Cling (Hawkeye)Barton the wise-cracking pain-in-the-arse we know and love is that they already gave his personality to Tony Stark. Having two of these jokers on the same team might not work. We'll probably get more of the quiet warrior, the killing-is-just-a-job kind of guy we saw in The Ultimates.
It's a pity.
Rip Off
At first I thought you were echoing the comics, because Green Arrow actually slept with Steel's daughter. Upon reflection, though, I'm pretty sure it was one of Black Lightning's daughters. Still ... what is it with archers and their libido?
