I've been wanting to do a retro style Wonder Woman cover for a while now and I finally settled on a suitable co-star. DC's New 52 initiative has met with mixed reactions among fans, but one character that really seems to have benefited is Wonder Woman. Brian Azzarello and Cliff Chiang have created one of the most unique superhero titles in their line-up and it is nice to see comic's premier super-heroine looking so good.

I have not checked out the New 52 Wonder Woman (or any New 52 books, for that matter), but I'm intrigued by the positive buzz about it. Can someone describe or discuss whats going on there? Why is this new reboot considered groundbreaking?
Vato, I think what's working is that Azz has decided to write the book without trying to make everything in WW's past work in modern times, a wise move since her sales suggests that very little of that will work in modern times. He's also made Diana part of an ensemble, one that slightly changes as the months progress, but it means he can always showcase her greatness in contrast to the less stellar characters she loves and is related to...
Ok, I'm gonna check it out. $3.99 to see if merits all the hubbub! Comics are still $3.99 right? Sigh...!
I can see how Wonder Woman would be difficult comic to write, let alone make a feature film out of. It would have to have elements of 300/Wrath of the Titans (Paradise Island, Amazons vs. Demi-Gods), Top Gun/Black Hawk Down (Steve Trevor, US Military, modern warfare) and Thor/Lord of the Rings (Man and Myths) all wrapped up in one story. Thats a tall order for even a team of script writers, and very expensive, plus top notch academy award-winning actors and actresses to pull it off!!! Hmmm, might not happen.
Golddigger meets tigra or cheetah also thundercats vs masters of universe little orphan annie and lil dot or lulu also ultron vs terminator
@Anonymous: Thundercats vs. MOTU was already done as a real-world intercompany crossover. DC and IDW, iirc.
