The Thing and The Sandman
As a big fan of the suit and gas mask outfit that Wesley Dodds is most well known for, I always favored it over the far more traditional superhero outfit that he wore for a time when he took on a sidekick, Sandy. That said, those tales feature some great early Jack Kirby artwork, so there is still certainly a lot to appreciate there. Sandman, along with the rest of the JSA is apparently being given a rest for a while while the DC Reboot launches. I hope it isn't too long before they see action again - they are great characters still with a lot of story potential.

Very cool!
I think now might be a good time to rest the JSA. I've always associated them with World War II. Even considering Roy Thomas' gift of rejuvenation from Ian Karkull, these characters must be getting near 100 years old.
Plus, DC is getting to be a pretty crowded place as far as teams go.
One of my favorite Sandman stories in the Sand and Stars arc in Starman.
Well, most of the current JSA are the second generation members. When they do return they should be on their own Earth again, that will sole the team overcrowding problem.
will you have the vertigo sandman show up
Not right away but anything is possible...
What did you think of The Tarantula in All Star Squadron. His initial appearances had him in a very similar costume as Sandman's Yellow/Purple one, until Jerry Ordway redesigned soon afterwards for the Ultraa Humanite storyline. I will always love All Star Squadron, and believe my later interest in World/Middle Eastern History spawned from Roy Thomas & Jerry Ordway.
I definitely liked Ordway's redesign.
