Batman and The Six Million Dollar Man

The Six Million Dollar Man was probably the first live action "superhero" show that I ever watched. Like most fans, the bigfoot episode is the one that most strongly stood out to me. I loved the strength/jumping sound effects they used - buppabuppabuppa - but even as a kid is was frustrated that they chose to used slow-motion to indicate super speed. That never made sense to me.

The Six Million Dollar Man was one of the cooler action figures out there. I got a kick out of his bionic eye and flesh that rolled away to reveal circuitry underneath! Cool stuff!

Awwww, yeah! And just in time, too - didja see the complete series comes out on something like a 40 DVD box set around Thanksgiving? The only figures I was able to get were Steve Austin and Oscar Goldman...then a buddy gave me Bigfoot after it was pretty well broken in...Do you remember the - was it a GI Joe knock off - Austin Powers, the Nuclear Man or somethin' - he came in camo shorts and his arm could power a helicopter-like blade for flight...

I just found the Bionic Man art with a google search, not sure where it is originally from. It might be art from a puzzle or something.

That's right! It was Mike Powers. Sorry, I was mixing my swingin' '60's Mike Meyers with the ultra cool '70's Ronnie Raymond...

Where's the Batman image from?

I forget - I made a huge stockpile of Batman images to use for covers, but sometimes by the time I get around to using one, I forget where it originally came from! I think this one might have been fan art.

That image of Bats is from a series of Superhero posters fron the late 70's...they had several DC guys as well as several Marvel guys...all the big players ya know.
What was cool about these was the nifty little comic book panels that went along the border at the bottom of the poster.
I had SuperMan and Cap. I always wanted the THOR and the Bats..but never found them. These posters are tough to find. I found one THOR poster after hours of searching...but alas it was a random image on the web and not an ebay deal. But I bet these posters go for BIG bucks
