The Invaders and The Trinity

When Richard Graef suggested having this pair of heroic trios share an adventure together, I thought that it would be the perfect way for the WW/Cap romance to celebrate the 4th of July (in their 30th appearance on the blog).  Thanks, Richard!  I hope all of the American visitors to this blog are having a nice holiday with family and friends today!

Coming tomorrow: STF #4100!

oh how much i would love to read this comic, especially if it was written by Roy Thomas and drawn by John Byrne.. a proper World War 2 Adventure…

Now this is another one I'd love to take a crack at writing. I can see the potential here.

I can just picture the two teams of superheroes being briefed by "Wild Bill" Donovan (real-life head of the OSS): "You're being sent to Bahdnisia in the Near East to recover...Indiana Jones & The Lamp of Larko!"

For the DC analogue of "Wild Bill" Donovan, see the Elseworlds tale "Batman: Dark Allegiances." For the Lamp of Larko, see Detective Comics v. 1/#322.

That's just excellent.

You were right, Ross; this would be a great retro-Golden adventure (or possibly something involving a Silver Age or even modern-day reunion of the Invaders).

(Rather than Indiana Jones, though, I think I'd involve Ben Gates in this.)

Looking forward to tomorrow's #4100!

@Bob Greenwade: let me guess. Because of some interdimensional portal he's financed the construction of and which is about to cause yet another multiversal crisis? I can see the title now.

"Closing The Ben Gateway!"

This is faboo and just makes so much sense :D

Suggestion - Indiana Jones and Freddy Krueger and the Fight for the Fedora!

Cool! And in addition to having the "Wonder Captain" duo, I also like how Superman and the Human Torch are aligned, reminds me of a cover from way back there of what looked like a Golden Age Superman teaming up with the Human Torch! Good stuff! And Happy Independence Day, everyone!

What a great cover! Nice job!

Since Batman and Cap teamed in that crossover years ago, courtesy of JB, i could see this as a perfect followup. Imagine that Earth on a daily basis....crooks would have to have some real mental problems to want to go against all of them.

HAPPY HOLIDAYS TO ALL!!!

You have never had Wolverine team up with Wildcat. I think those two would be a natural pair in a fight or just hanging out.

Excellent Ross! Keep 'em flying!

I have to wonder if, in modern DC comics, the code-name for the Los Alamos A-bomb detonation will ever be officially attributed to the Golden Age Superman, Batman, and Wonder Woman?
