I was watching some of the new DC Documentary on Max last night and Andy Kubert mentioned that his father Joe was a lot like one of the characters he was most famous for working on - Sgt. Rock. I can belive it, as Rock is know for being a leader who never gives up, leads through example and inspires those around him. Kubert not only worked as an artist for almost 70 years, he began a school that ushered in a new age of artists to follow his lead. That's just one more reason that I consider him to be the greatest comic book artist ever.

Kubert had a talent of grabbing the reader's attention on the cover. I consider him to be the greatest cover artist of all time.
have you done a Sgt. Rock, Sgt. Fury, etc cross over ?
this was my favourite Avengers run, Hellcat , Beast, and other lesser Characters being given central roles.
The Sgts. Have met a couple of times, yes.

Joe was a great designer and artist and will be missed a great deal.
I woke up this morning and realized I'd dreamed that Bobby Drake had kicked Captain Cold out of the Rogues and taken over as leader.
Just throwing that out there.
Maybe he'd insist that Rogue join the Rogues?
Only if Mr. Freeze's little body swap had succeeded @ STF #3424.
Which could lead to a team-up between Bobby's Cousin Tim and the Ice Masters!

A bit of unrelated searching made me want to see a cover featuring the world's two most famous donkeys: Shrek's friend, and Eeyore.

Who else here remembers the Amalgam comic that featured 'Supersoldier' (combining elements of Captain America & Superman) working with 'Sgt. Rock & His Howling Commandoes' -- and 'Mademoiselle Peggy', as well -- during WW2?
I remember Super-Soldier, but not that particular story.
I think the Department of Impluasible Crossovers has permanently deleted Amalgam Comics from the Ross-verse.
