The Thing and Plastic Man (Vs. the Stranger!)

These two guys are about to hit the mainstream again.  Marvel's Fantastic Four movie has finally been cast and will start shooting soon.  It will probably be a while before we see what The Thing's rocky form looks like.  While no announcements have been made, James Gunn is a fan of Plastic Man and he's already brought in two other members of The Terrifics, so you know he's coming to the DCU.

Plastic Man last met The Thing along with the rest of the Fantastic Four in STF #2744, and they first crossed paths way back in a 2011 MS Paint MTIO cover...

Two questions.

1) Who's James Gunn?

2) Does this body swap take place before or after Ben and Alicia's honeymoon?

P.S.---Happy Easter, Ross! :-)

Happy Easter! James Gunn is in charge of the DCU movies going forward and is directing the new Superman film.

Thanks. :-)

@Ross
Have you heard about Toriyama death?

I'm not very familiar with Dragonball, but yes I did hear about that.

As most anime seem to be based on video games and/or trading card rpg's, I'm surprised that the Grandmaster has never taken on the likes of Goku, Yugioh, or Ash.

Ahh, we have some possibilities here: Ben Grimm will learn what it's like to have powers like Reed Richards. "Hey Stretcho, can you do this?" But it seemed to me that Plas was basically concerned about his looks, so being the Thing will definitely put a dent in his sense of humor. And maybe he'll settle some old scores.

@Cary: Mr. Gunn is also notable for having written and directed all three Guardians of the Galaxy movies, as well as The Suicide Squad.

@Ross: How about featuring the Stranger against the Phantom Stranger? "Stranger and Stranger!"

It’s the April Fools Day Public Holiday here in Australia and I’m looking forward to seeing what happens on Earth-STF today.

Happy holidays Ross.
Interesting. Not only some of the big differences you get in numbers of responses but how long some of your ideas last for new comments. When you hit 30 postings, that's a rare neighborhood.
Grimm & O'Brien... nice law firm often recommended by Peter Parker.
It would be interesting to see somebody like the Stranger meeting and being affected by Mr Mxy. to see how he would react to it. Just a hope.

If Mr. Mxy could take on the Grandmaster, then what hope is there for the Stranger emerging unscathed?

Ah, but what would it do for how he might treat others afterwards @Anon 10:11?

Given the incorrigibility demonstrated by other super-villains, probably nothing whatsoever.

I have to agree with Anon757. :-(
