Space-faring freedom fighters with dads that want to conquer the galaxy? Yup, these two have plenty in common. I think there would be a ton of story potential in putting them together.
Darth Vader and Darkseid first encountered each other in STF # 2184, and then again in STF #2343 and are both members of The Overlords, as seen in STF #2490...

stunning match of Artwork from two masters of the form,
beautifully merged ! i have followed the New Gods story ever since Jack started at DC,
i think that the Princess would this time be out of her depth…
@ Ross: Three times, actually! If you count STF #2184.
@Simon: A lot of SW Legends fans would say the same thing about Darkseid going up against Aboleth.
Ooops! My bad. :-(
An aboleth is one of those Lovecraftian-style piranhas from D&D. Abeloth is the true name of that crazy mother who feeds off the Force (both light-side and dark).
Stunning cover. What a cast list! As for the merging here, it is seamless.
Great to see such Really Big Bads together too. More please!
I agree with Dave; the blending here is seamless. Plus, I'd be itching to see what the story inside held for me. This has "special two-person mission to retrieve a vital Maguffin" written all over it.
May the Source be with you!
your "companies" are going to be miffed with a poster like this, THEY'LL want it!!
The Void is with you!
Another random thought: Elvira and Elmira.
Darkseid is Ross, Leia and Vader looks like Hildebrandt. Is the Orion figure done by Darryl Banks? I didn't know he painted. Looks great!
@ Det. Tobor: which Void are you referencing? The Wildstorm anti-heroine who nearly had a polygamous relationship with Capt. Atom and Dr. Solar? Or the Sentry's alter-ego who's basically a sentient portal to the Darkforce Dimension?
It's a very good film @Carycomic.Portals just have a small tax.
Oh! You mean that Canadian Lovecraft pastiche from 2016. I've only read the plot outline @ Wikipedia. It never came to my hometown multiplex and hasn't even been on PPV On Demand, yet! So, I'm forced to believe that it wasn't more than a modest commercial success, at best.
Cover of the month!
Btw: is it just me? Or does Orion's armor look aa lot like that worn by Chris "Peacemaker" Smith?
