Swamp Thing and Gargoyle first met back in STF #1223... definitely a pair that seems to go well together, so I thought that I would revisit the alliance.
This cover required a bit of background extension and de-cluttering prior to adding in an image of Isaac Christians. Here's a peek behind the scenes:

the Artwork by Wrightson is as ever superb and Badger’s effort fits in nicely,
it would be interesting to see how the story progresses… but sadly only it will be in our imagination.
I don't know, wait till they see what is intended for desert!
Vincent and Boris are bound to pop up with a little something for someone...soon.
@ Det. Tobor: Vincent and Boris would be more fitting for a team-up with Raven.
@ Ross: is that Anton Arcane acting as high priest?
That line in the speech balloon, Ross, is one of your greatest.
This situation, I think, is probably the result of the Darkhold falling into the hands of the Condiment King.
Either that...or "How To Serve Man."
;-D
@Carycomic (in reply to his first question): yes, definitely.
Gargoyle and Swamp Thing are definitely a great pairing. ST would be a natural for the original Defenders.
You know who has yet to appear here? Steve Englehart's Coyote! I'd love to see him match wits with WB's Roadrunner.
Since you have vegetables as a plural it makes me wonder if
they are talking "below the belt" for Swampy here. I guess we'll never know...
