I loved the scene in Batman Beyond: Return of the Joker where Terry McGinness starts cracking jokes against the Clown Prince of Crime, which enrages him. It made me think that a similar confrontation with Spider-Man would be fun to watch play out. Spidey is known for using his quick banter and humor to unsettle his opponents, and it would be cool to see the tactic used against The Joker. I remember The Joker appearing in one of the real life Batman/Spidey crossovers, but I forget if we saw a moment like that in it... Maybe I'll have to dig through the old collection to find out.

Mr J gets so insecure when he can't have the last laff. And Spidy would go out of his way to try to make Joker feel right at home. just a quiet little tete-a-tete. Practically a little picnic. And if he wants, Joker would have no problem in wanting to have Spidy "Neal" before him. And i'm sure Spidy woodn't mind it a bit.
It was the one published back in Sept. 1995, Ross. Spidey and Batman vs. Carnage and the Joker via the misguided over-confidence of Dr. Cassandra Blair.
The title was "Disordered Minds". I'm not sure they took advantage of Spidey wise-cracking but don't remember.
Ben Reilly Spider-Man met the Joker at the very beginning of the DC vs. Marvel event, in the mid-nineties.
They had a crossover with the Hulk and Batman vs the Joker and the Shaper-of-Worlds.
Let's not forget Batman and Daredevil vs. Two-Face and Mister Hyde.
Did Batman and Spidey ever take on the two Scarecrows (Jonathan Crane and Eb Laughton)?
Could Spider-man team with Deadman? He could ask Boston if he could find his Uncle Ben. These are great covers.
Ben Parker wouldn't be caught dead in Boston!
Cleveland...maybe. :-)
