Steel Vs. Iron Man

Marvel Studios has released a picture of a new suit of armor that Iron man will don in the next film in the franchise.  It looks fine but it's basically the armor we are used to by now with a new gold paint job.  I was really hoping that we would finally get to see the classic 70's-80's widow's peak-tank top-hip discs look that I use above.  Oh well, there's nothing that says he can't get two new suits in the film... and he has certainly fared better than Steel did when it comes to comic to screen armor transition!  The poor guy didn't even get a full face mask in the Shaq film... and they took his cape away!

Somehow I just can't see Tony Stark trying to force Steel to reveal his technological secrets, especially through beating him up. Other than that, though, this is another outstanding cover.

Now if we could just have an all-powered-armor team cover with these two plus Hero Zero, Defender, and Ultraman!

If you would read the issue, you would know that The Hate Monger and The Psycho Pirate are surprise guest villains.

uhh...let us never speak of that Shaq film again! But any plans on using The Psycho Pirate or Harbinger, Lady Quark or Pariah. These characters were really showcased on the Crisis on Infinite Earths by Marv Wolfman, but we have never really heard from then since.

I have used Harbinger twice - she's on the Thing/Rocketeer cover as well as in silhouette on the Avengers in Crisis cover. Psycho Pirate will be featured on an upcoming cover as well.

@Bob Destro
If you haven't already, you should check out the Grant Morrison run on ANIMAL MAN. The whole thing is in three trades and the Psycho Pirate plays a significant part in the third. He also resurfaces in the first arc of JSA CLASSIFIED, with Power Girl (which I think has been collected in a Power Girl trade instead of a JSA trade). Lady Quark, I think, was in L.E.G.I.O.N. or some other LSH-related title that took place in the 20th century.

@Ross: the guest-villains must've been edited out.
